i notice that the osu!mania ranking system is not as nice as osu!standard's. why not make osu!mania ranking system similar to ppv2? it's far better than the current system

i agree, i dont see how you can have a recent activity like that and not be in top 1k at least.

but seriously, what's so bad about it? you make a thread and complain without even explaining what exactly it is you are complaining about let alone offering solutions.

osu!standard have beatmaps levels on osutp and ppv2 is close to following the TP system. maybe it's not that easy for osu!mania to have a system like that because 4k,5k,6k,7k and 8k is mixed in one ranking system?

lol yea my ranking is not that good (i suck in playing this game and osu!mania) and i don't think i have right to complain about this stuff especially the ranking system with such low rank and bad skills. well i'm just giving my opinion, not complaining ^^

Maybe you should have paid a bit more attention to the forum, because at the VERY top there's this thread: t/181853/ which is specifically for feedback on the ranking system.

Tom94 has been working on the difficulty system in osu, which is largely responsible for how much PP a beatmap is worth, so if you have any comments, use that thread.

It's known that some key modes are undervalued compared to others.

Another thing to consider is that autoconverted beatmaps are worth less PP than mania specific maps (and this is entirely intentional. Many people have been saying that autoconverts should not be worth any PP at all.)

so it's still not applied but they're working on it?

The osu!mania ranking system works like osu standard already. The difficulty algorithm is by far not as accurate, though.

Autoconverts are not worth less than other maps by automation. They get the very same treatment. However in most cases they are so easy compared to mania-specifics, that the algorithm determines their worth far less anyways.

I stand corrected, I should have made an effort to make sure what I was saying there was true :/

In any case, are there any plans on explaining the inner workings of the algorithm in more detail sometime in the future? I'd be interested in seeing what a mathematical model of difficulty for mania looks like.
