whenever you play, when I pause, but accidentally press esc twice, I have to wait I little for I can 're-pause'.
I understand this, so you can't do it all slowly, but why not make it possible for unranked maps to be able to pause, and when you accidentally unpause, you can immediately re-pause?

Huh? I could Esc as many times in a row and it still pauses for me. Isn't that supposed to be the case?

You mean you accidentally hit esc twise while trying to pause, AND accidentally click that ring???
