Mechanical Keyboard doubt

Hi guys, this is my first topic, i could really use some help here.
I had a Thermaltake Challenger keyboard, sadly, it broke; in the meanwhile, i will be staying with a generic keyboard that i can't really use to play osu! at the moment.
I was thinking of buying a Mechanical keyboard, since i heard they were really good for games in general (my previous keyboard was a membrane one).
However i saw lots of debates about the switches on the keyboards, people saying reds are better thank blacks, etc.
I have made a little research and there seems to be quite a bit of a difference between each switch, and the Cherry MX switches are in every mechanical keyboard i come across to buy online.
Sadly, i can't buy stuff imported, it becomes really expensive, and the products that i have here are all black Cherry MX Switches.
The question is, is the difference of the switches really important? Is there something i should be avoiding when buying one of these?
Can i just buy any mechanical keyboard and do just fine?

The blacks will give more resistance to push down than the reds for example so yes there will be a difference. I've heard playing with blacks may be quite exhausting and that reds help with stamina.

I personally use browns, which are easy to push down but still offers a slight resistance. It helps with my accuracy haha. In the end it's all about preference though :)

There are good players with every standard Cherry MX switch that exists, afaik. However, the high actuation force of blacks tends to make it less ideal if you're primarily using it for osu - but they're still playable, and better than rubberdomes. I use MX Reds so I'm biased (haven't tried any other switch) but I enjoy red's thoroughly and would recommend them if you do happen to find one.

The only name that comes to mind with black switches (at the moment) is val0108 but there's probably more.

Good luck!

ps. I hope you have the money, because mech boards certainly don't come cheap!

Switch types are personal tastes. They all have different feel and really no one can tell you what to like.

Here's my take on cherryMX switches without going into numbers and graphs:
  1. Black - Most resistence, suits bashful RTS player (eg SC2)
  2. Red - Least resistence, suits less bashful players who likes to buttom out
  3. Brown - feels like 2 step camera shutter, players who touch type will like this
  4. Blue - feels like brown with audible "click", get this only if you don't have to deal with roommates/parents complaining (lol)

You should try going to shops and get a feel of them yourself if you want to know what's best for your fingers

Thank you all for your help, i really appreciate it.
I'm probably gonna go for a Steelseries 6GV2 or a Sentey, they really are expensive.
Thanks again!
