So we were in a group project, sharing a computer. We were supposed to go to a site and click on a link to look at some rules for a contest.
The computer dude kept on looking at Myspace (...), yahoo mail, and other not-allowed nonsense that also happens to be annoying to look at when you just want to see the rules on a second window. Did the infamous "minimize second window" trick.
He couldn't find the link to the rules. So, I took control and clicked the rules...
...And exited his second window while I was at it.
I thus got a string of threats and he talked to people telling them I'm a conceited asshole. He also told me he was going to beat me up and break my glasses. I told him how the last person who did something similar to that got arrested for assault (I had nothing to do with that; the district did the arresting on their own). He told me to shut up.
The worst part?
He was serious, and refused to work with me just because I did him a favor and got rid of a distraction. That string of threats and stuff lasted for about 5 minutes BTW. I laughed silently most of the time because of how silly it was.
tl;dr: Broswer windows are serious business. This is also a metaphor for some of the people in the community.
