[Clyine's Extra]
- This difficulty needs better flow. I'm going to cite some examples in the diff that could use better flow.
- 00:00:735 (3,4) - The slider and the note afterward do not show good flow. The slider is pointed to the upper-right corner but the note follow up is to it's lower-right instead. Either make the slider point to the note or move the note to where the slider will point. Example of a pattern with a better flow would be http://puu.sh/aA17r/60620ef0fd.jpg.
- 00:01:985 (1) - The S-shape at the end of the slider doesn't really fit. IMO change to a regular curved slider. Also, the finish at the end doesn't fit either.
- 00:02:521 (2) - Also an example of bad flow. The slider end is nowhere near or pointing to this note.
- 00:02:521 (2,3,4,5) - The spacing is a confusing. (2,3) are 1/1 apart, while (3,4) and (4,5) are 1/2 apart. Wrong spacing and since you stacked (4) on (2), it may be more confusing.

- 00:04:753 (2) - Incidentally, this (2) should be moved up a bit so that the (1,2,3) will form a straight line (along with the slider).
- 00:07:878 (1,2) - Same comment about flow. I suggest you change the pattern altogether. Using a two-repeat long slider here on a difficulty higher than Hard seems a bit boring.
- 00:10:021 (5) - Not perfectly symmetrical, also blanket the note better.
- 00:09:307 (1,2) - Place these notes at the center?

- 00:11:450 (1,2,3,4,1) - Regarding this pattern, it would be better if it encompasses the previous one. http://puu.sh/aA1Il/914c4584dd.jpg I adjusted the edges of the square so it would fit and centered it. I also moved the slider and pointed it so that it would make a line with the previous patterns.

- 00:13:593 (7) - This slider would be better if it was aligned with the line you formed with your previous combos. http://puu.sh/aA1Wy/4326f4f785.jpg (On that note, move (8) as well)
- 00:19:664 (2,3) - A thing to note about stacks is that they change the flow. ATM, the stack here kills the continuous flow you had. IMO space these normally.
- 00:21:985 (7) - Why a straight-edge slider instead of a curve? Suddenly looks odd if you place one there.
- 00:23:949 (4,1,2,3,4,5) - I highly recommend you rework this pattern based on what I said about flow earlier.
- 00:27:164 (2,1) - Don't make these two overlap.
- 00:30:735 (1,2) - Looks like you just copied the pattern at 00:27:878 (1,2) and rotated it >.>
- 00:38:592 (2,1) - Same comment about the flow.
- 00:40:735 (1,1,1) - This does not work musically. There is no music at the 1/4 ends of those sliders, and it sounds odd. The overlaps also look ugly IMO.
- 00:42:878 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1) - Wow this just pops out of nowhere. There's no build up whatsoever in the parts leading to this.
- 00:43:593 (1,2) - Same comment about flow. I suggest making the slider face the other way.
- 00:49:217 (2) - Remove this and save the 1/4 triples after the music changes at 00:49:485
- 01:17:878 (2,2,2) - These speed changes don't really fit at all. I suggest you remove them.
- That's all for now. There are a ton more issues I can see, but I've spent too much time on this diff already. Maybe if you call for a recheck I can check this again.

[TestApple's Extra]
- Some issues here, but I do like the flow for some parts.
- You really need more hitsounds here. Add some claps especially in that kiai part :(
- 00:25:735 (6,7,8,9) - I feel this part is a tad bit overmapped. The music isn't that heavy on the rhythm here yet you used 1/4 slider-stream jumps.
- 00:29:307 (3) - This would look better if it were all in a straight line. http://puu.sh/aA5Bx/222ddc4029.jpg
- 00:30:735 (1,2,3,4) - This part is also overmapped. The vocals follow the red ticks (1/2) only here.
- 00:40:200 (8) - Ctrl+G for better flow here.
- 00:43:057 (3,4) - I recommend making them straight instead of curved. As is, they look too scrunched up and ugly IMO.
- 00:50:914 (5,6) - The overlapping here with the combo makes it cluttered and confusing. Please move this elsewhere.
- 00:58:950 () - I was expecting a note here.
- 00:59:307 (5,6,7,1) - This spacing is just confusing. (1) is 1/2 after yet spaced the same as (6) which is only 1/4 after. Not to mention, (6) is a big spacing increase compared to your previous 1/4s.
- 01:06:093 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - When you reach the downbeat at 01:06:450, you should stop with the 1/4s since it's purpose of buildup is already over.
- 01:08:414 (1) - The finish is out of place here. It belongs usually in the downbeat. It's a stretch but 01:08:593 (2) can also use a finish.
- Same as before, I proceed to next difficulty.

[Insane]
- 00:07:878 (7,2) - They overlap :( Looks ugly IMO.

And I apologize, but I have to stop now. I'll continue modding this. (If I forget please prompt me.)

For 00:12:700 (2,3,4,5,6) - a better look would be http://puu.sh/aCMYZ/798dce1b8d.jpg. I would suggest adjusting these combos a bit to avoid overlaps and make them look nicer.
- 00:01:450 (4,9) - 4 overlaps 7 here which looks ugly. AR is not fast enough to prevent the overlap.
- 00:02:521 (1,2) - Blanket these two properly.
- 00:03:771 (2,4) - Blanket these two properly as well.

- 00:02:075 () - Don't hear any heavy music here to warrant a note.

Yo, there's a mod in progress. Feel free to apply the suggestions for the diffs I've already checked. I will edit this post and finish the mod soon.

Yo, as requested.

[General]
  1. Make sure that Widescreen Support is disabled in all diffs. This thing is used only for storyboads and you don't have one.
  2. Clyine's Extra has no video enabled, make sure that this will get fixed.
  3. Do you really need to place names of the mappers on the BG? It's not necessary at all and it makes your map ~1mb heavier. You could also use diff-specific storyboard elements and just ONE background image for this reason, which would be more reasonable.
[Pjecoo's Easy]

  1. Reduce OD and HP by one tick, your current settings are too high for the easiest diff.
  2. Use distance snap. Seriously, jumps like 00:13:593 (2,1) - are way too complicated for the beginners and there's no way they could play and understand it.
  3. Just as NoHitter said, you should work on your flow more, feel free to poke me if you need help with this.
  4. 00:10:735 (2) - I believe that the slider is meant to be finishd on the white tick to match with vocals and music and to be playable.
  5. 01:16:093 - 01:16:450 - the empty (and mapable) part here is confusing. You can map it to make your rhythm more consistent and logical.

    Please, take a look at some of the ranked Easy-diffs and take a look at this article. You really should work more on the diff. Keep in mind that the diff should be playable for beginners, playable means something that newbies could understand and read properly. Feel free to ask me any questions related to this.
[Normal]
  1. You can try to focus a bit more on improving you flow since it's the main issue I see with this diff. It is not bad even as it is, but it can be improved.
  2. 00:16:807 (6,1) - minor - you can try to make a blanket-slider here to improve the appearance of this pattern and to make it look neater.
  3. 00:19:128 - please, place a circle here. There's a clearly audible sound in music which should be mapped in order to make the rhythm more logical and natural.
  4. 00:27:521 (1) - according to your pattern this new combo is extra. It is out of your pattern, feels irregular and is not really necessary here. Remove it, please.
    Note: 00:38:950 (1) - same thing happens here.
  5. 01:28:950 (6) - the head of the slider is inaudible, which is unrankable. Make at least head of the slider audible (20%+ volume).

    Not bad, since so many modders have already checked it. It can be better, but for a first map it looks cool!
[Hard]
  1. Setting AR to 7,5 might match better with your slider velocity and will also make the spread more balanced.
  2. 00:01:271 (2,3,4) - minor - please, check the spacing, it feels broken and does not play good, because there is no any reason to put a lower-DS pattern here.
  3. 00:26:807 - 00:27:521 - 00:28:235 - the vocals at these beats are completely ignored which makes the sliders feel off and 00:26:450 (1,2,3,4) - the whole pattern feels rather onfusing and maybe even a bit unpleasant while playing.
  4. 00:29:307 (1,2) - the second reverse on such sliders is really hard to notice and feels confusing. I highly suggest you to remove it and replace them with something else to make the diff more playable. Te song is relaxing, so, there should not be any tricky/confusing patterns, imo.
  5. 00:32:878 (5,6) - the repeats on the blue ticks sound overmapped and feel forced to play. Mind replacing these sliders with two circles? This would improve the playability and fit better with the rhythm.
  6. 00:41:360 (2,4) - these two are overmapped. They don't really make sense with the vocals and music and they seem out of your patterns. Also, note, that there are 3 harder diffs and having overmapped pattern in hard seems really weird.
  7. 00:45:200 (7,8,9,10,11) - the jumpy pattern seems to be off music, please, pay more attention to it and see if it is playable or not. I had no problems with reading it, but I didn't understand the logic here, so I'm leaving it up to you.
  8. 00:49:485 (2,3) - select them and press Ctrl+G. It will swap them on the timeline, it will prevent the overlap (00:48:950 (10,2)) and improve your flow slightly.
  9. 00:51:450 (7) - quite the same as 00:29:307 (1,2). If you listen closer, you can hear that the vocals kick in at 00:51:628 - not at 00:51:450. Which means that there should be a circle at 00:51:450.
  10. 01:00:735 (1) - I would not ignore the beat here. It feels empty and bugs me quite a bit + it ruins your consistent pattern a bit.
  11. 01:11:985 (4,5) - that would be a good idea to replace them with 1/2 slider in order to emphasize the beats on the white ticks.

It is weird to have an Extra diff which has lower star rating than the Insane. It makes the diff spread look unbalanced.
  1. The Slidr Velocity/Distance Snap balance seems to be broken. Most of your jumps do not correspond well with the song and seem to be randomly-placed. I have asked someplayers to confuirm, so it is not just me. To solve this, try to use higher SV and reduce the amount of jumps. It looks like some of the ideas are pretty good, but the low SV makes them feel forced and out of place.

    Looks like great idea was spoiled due to low SV the mapper has picked. Try to increase the slider velocity and feel free to call me back, for a more detailed check.
[Insane]

  1. OD and HP are too high. The song is not a hardcore one, so settings OD lower would make the diff feel more natural and enjoyable.
  2. There are some overmapped beats like 00:16:182 (2) - which I would really like to see removed since they don't match with the song and feel really random to me.
  3. And just like with TestApple's diff, your jumps are totally overused, from my point of view. You're using the jumps everywhere, which is not a good idea since there are a lot of places where jumps simply don't work. Try to test your diff and you'll notice that the sliders slowdown your cursor and make it move 2 times slower, which means that slider velocity/distance spacing balance is not the best one.

    I highly suggest you to test the diff on your own and some players to test it, as well. Then to re-arrange the patterns so, that the jumps will help you to reflect the song. Right now the diff feels choppy and your flow feels rather unpleasant for the same reason, too.
You have a lot of things to improve, keep going!

  1. Setting AR to 7,5 might match better with your slider velocity and will also make the spread more balanced. fixed
  2. 00:01:271 (2,3,4) - minor - please, check the spacing, it feels broken and does not play good, because there is no any reason to put a lower-DS pattern here. fixed
  3. 00:26:807 - 00:27:521 - 00:28:235 - the vocals at these beats are completely ignored which makes the sliders feel off and 00:26:450 (1,2,3,4) - the whole pattern feels rather onfusing and maybe even a bit unpleasant while playing. fixed
  4. 00:29:307 (1,2) - the second reverse on such sliders is really hard to notice and feels confusing. I highly suggest you to remove it and replace them with something else to make the diff more playable. Te song is relaxing, so, there should not be any tricky/confusing patterns, imo. fixed
  5. 00:32:878 (5,6) - the repeats on the blue ticks sound overmapped and feel forced to play. Mind replacing these sliders with two circles? This would improve the playability and fit better with the rhythm. fixed
  6. 00:41:360 (2,4) - these two are overmapped. They don't really make sense with the vocals and music and they seem out of your patterns. Also, note, that there are 3 harder diffs and having overmapped pattern in hard seems really weird. fixed
  7. 00:45:200 (7,8,9,10,11) - the jumpy pattern seems to be off music, please, pay more attention to it and see if it is playable or not. I had no problems with reading it, but I didn't understand the logic here, so I'm leaving it up to you. i think it goes along, but it might just be my imagination, keeping for now.
  8. 00:49:485 (2,3) - select them and press Ctrl+G. It will swap them on the timeline, it will prevent the overlap (00:48:950 (10,2)) and improve your flow slightly. fixed, and mirrored
  9. 00:51:450 (7) - quite the same as 00:29:307 (1,2). If you listen closer, you can hear that the vocals kick in at 00:51:628 - not at 00:51:450. Which means that there should be a circle at 00:51:450. apparently her makes a sound at 00:51:450, so i feel that the 4 beats in a slider is warranted.
  10. 01:00:735 (1) - I would not ignore the beat here. It feels empty and bugs me quite a bit + it ruins your consistent pattern a bit. fixed
  11. 01:11:985 (4,5) - that would be a good idea to replace them with 1/2 slider in order to emphasize the beats on the white ticks. fixed

some of your sliders of the same length are more curved than others and when they're next to each other it would look better for corresponding sliders to be congruent. also use copy/paste more often and rotate/flip the sliders so that they're the exact same shape. it'll be much neater that way.
also, using too many slider points or having red slider points can be great if they work out fine but really ugly and ruin the consistency of the map if they don't. that's the case with a lot of your sliders like 00:10:021 (3,4) - in your hard so i'd just stick with the simple 2 or 3 slider point sliders. this section 00:12:164 (1,2,1,2,3,4,1) - was really nice compared to the rest of your map because it followed the neatness things i just specified. but please try to stay away from 00:16:450 (4,5) until you're more familiar with these. even i've never used a slider with a single red point because i don't know where they're good for.
stuff like 00:07:521 (4,6) - 00:08:414 (7,8) - in your hard should be parallel (use copy/paste)
00:30:021 (3,4,5,6) - this part doesn't use time-distance spacing (distance snap) so it's extremely hard to play and misleading.
i was talking about consistency. you want to reuse patterns in corresponding parts of the music and keep your mapping style consistent throughout, so when you get creative like 00:40:735 (1,2,3) - it conflicts with the style you have in the rest of the map.

well it's clear you've put a lot of effort into this and want this ranked, but it is your first and only map. you still need some more experience to make it up to ranking quality standards, which i don't feel it has met yet. i did give you some overall and specific issues, but nohitter (an ex-BAT) has a better understanding than i do and now that your map's up to 50 SP, you could try poking a BAT to give you more advice. star priority generally doesn't mean anything as far as i've seen, but having this much usually puts map relatively high on the pending list and shows your dedication so mention that to the BAT and it's likely you'll find one to go over this map with you.

  • This looks fine for ranking anyway.
    I don't especially find it interesting, they are things which could be improved. i'll just leave few suggestions here.
  1. 00:10:735 (1,2) - They are not the same slider, it could be better if you use the same slider for this kind of pattern, where the "rotate by"' tool is used.
  2. 00:13:414 (7,1) - it could be better if you unstack these objects, for different reasons. a stack here looks out of place since you didnt stack here for patterns earlier and later. And Unstacking here will allow you to emphasize this strong note here 00:13:593 (1) -
  3. 00:52:164 (1,2) - starting a kiai part with two 1/2 reversed slider is weird, because they are easy to handle and, they are not really difficult. You should try something else, which has more density and more suitable like circles instead as you did for you patterns before.
  4. 01:12:343 - this tick is really audible, and when playing, i feel this is empty here, this tick should be played or followed.


    Rhythm could be improved in the calm part
  5. For example, this tick 00:39:485 - which could be played because you hear a strong note.
    You could make an interresting rhythm here, and 1/2 sounds like spam.
