[New Rule] Marathon maps must be tagged as such

Currently it is quite hard to find marathon maps (5min+) since they got moved the normal ranking instead of approval. To make it easier to find those maps a person can simply add "marathon" to tags. It doesn't destroy the map, the mapper can use whatever diff name they prefer and people that enjoy playing those long maps don't have to search through a lot of pages just to find them!

I... guess it would make sense.
those
length>300 or whatever the syntax is in the search bar

Use the Approved Section?

I don't believe there are many maps has been "ranked" with 5 Minutes Drain Time.

A simple (and efficent) alternative would be for the search to check the diffnames for marathon and display those if the query was marathon.
Thus a additional tag for those diffs is unneccesary as the diff in question must already be named Marathon in order for the BSS to accept the big filesize.

I feel like i overlooked something... .-.

approved hasnt been used since february, and there have been plenty of 1diff maps ranked since then. it's too much of a hassle to go through every single page on the beatmap listing looking for those 1diff maps. imagine what it will be like 2 years from now.

A diff can be named differently, the ranking BAT can move the map to pending and then qualify it (afaik)

The approval section isn't used anymore as I stated in the main post.

Add approval or marathon to the tags?

That's quite stupid to be honest. Not sure why it suddenly has been changed.

Well, the best would be to add "approval" in the Tags because not every approved Map isn't intended to be a "marathon".

well I guess "approved" could be added to tags as well, but all maps since https://osu.ppy.sh/s/38950 were marathons and the new maps which would've been app'd were marathons too. I think the approved section will still be used for gimmick maps, not sure about it though (remember reading that somewhere).

In fact, if the difficulty is named as [Marathon], which is the usually used difficulty name for an approval map, searching with the query "Marathon" shows marathon maps.

I still think adding such thing as "approved" in tags has a good point since the original approved section is no longer used.
