In a game of mafia with eight players, roles and affiliations are not revealed upon death. There are two power roles aligned with the town. A doctor and a cop. There are two members of the mafia. The game starts at Night Zero where roles are distributed and only the cop may use their power.
Assuming that the game plays out as a normal round of mafia does, which is the soonest phase the mafia can equal or outnumber the town? Which is the soonest phase the town can win?
