This rule makes the title wrong when the case below.


1. A shortend song is released (like a TV anime OP/ED theme) with the video.
2. A mapper makes a map with a shortend song before the OST is released.
3. A mapper can't define the title because of the marker. (such as "Short Ver." and "TV Size")

4-1. A mapper adds (TV Size) to the title.
4-2. A mapper adds nothing to the title.

5. The OST is released with the shortend song.
If the marker is not added → 4-1 is wrong.
If the marker is (TV Size) → 4-2 is wrong.
If the marker is not (TV Size) → both cases are wrong.




Why it happens frequently?
And why do people have a habit of adding a marker nevertheless they don't know the correct title?
Because it's old custom. However you may think it's bad habit.
If you think it's the rule for breaking the old custom, we should wait until the OST is released.
And you BATs should not rank map with the title have the uncertainty. But this way will annoy a mapper.

So what is I'm talking about?
The rule defines a marker as a title. Of course I'm talking about a marker of shortend song, not such as "Remix Ver.".
Most of the credits in the videos do not show a marker, but the album shows a marker. How can you explain this?
Those "Short Ver." and "TV Size" are not really important part of the title in my opinion.
But I don't mean "let's remove every marker from the title, because it's not important.".
It's a useful indicator that let people know the length of the song. "O mins OO secs" doesn't tell us what version(about length) directly.


Please don't say "we've discussed this many times...", I know they were denied.
But I believe I'm not the only one who think the current rule is not good.
Personally I suggest unification of the markers or adding Song Version section in song setup if it's possible technically.
But yeah... let's discuss.

Keeping it inconsistent when all TV Sizes could be marked as TV Sizes is dumb. On the other hand, being more official is way better.

We're already gotten final word on this several times, as you (also once a BAT btw) have said. Just wait until we have an official listing. I'll probably close this soon.
