I am requesting the ability for skinners to modify the color overlays of menu-button-background, taiko-[big]hitcircle, selection-tab, button-[left,middle,right], and danger backgrounds in a manner similar to the other skin.ini files. I am also requesting that hitcircle and approachcircle be freed from greyscale and instead be based on a color overlay.

Right now, the only elements whose color overlay we can modify are the hitcircle, lighting, approachcircle, slidertrack, sliderborder, menu glow, song selection text, and star2. These files are all modifiable in the skin.ini file, cleverly with the use of rgb.

Hitcircle, approachcircle, and lighting all use greyscale, which is fine but it limits the possibility of adding a little bit of color variation.

This change will allow for awesome color schemes to be spawned by skinners,

Right now, these are the only colors allowed by osu! to be used in the menu-button-background

SPOILER
Orange

Blue

Pink

Notice in the orange, there is a distinct lack of blue colors. Similarly, in blue, there is a distinct lack of orange-red colors. Pink removes some teal aspect to the color scheme as well. The color that is opposite to the color wheel is blackened.

Selection Tab

No greens.

and taiko-hitcircle
SPOILER
Red

Blue

Lack of teal in the red case, and lack of red-orange in the blue case.
The danger background is not modifiable at this time.

Thanks for reading. I hope this request doesn't go unnoticed.

Is there a technical limitation that I am not seeing?
