Multiple "Songs" Folders / Switching between "Songs" Folders

Hey guys,

I just need a little help with something I'm trying out right now:
I want to swap conveniently between two "Songs" folders on two different drives. It works when I change the path in my osu!."Username".cfg file. But everytime I do this Osu! has to scan through the new folder I swapped to.
This is pretty inconvenient, because one of the folders contains tons of beatmaps and the scanning process takes quite a while.
Is there some way, where I can make that Osu! doesn't have to scan through the new folder after switching? (Maybe there is a file, where Osu! indexes the songs, that I could switch too...)

Here is my reason for this:
I am currently living at an appartment near my university and I'm coming home every weekend. I have a new notebook and back at home I have an old computer whith wich I played Osu! before I got my new notebook. On my old computer I've downloaded all existing ranked beatmaps, but I don't want to transfer them all to my notebook, because they take up so much space... So I've got some beatmaps on my notebook, but when I'm at home, I use the beatmaps on my old computer (via network).

I know it doesn't make too much sense and the way it is now is pretty inconvenient, but maybe some of you can help me, or even have better ideas to solve this.

maybe look into getting a cheap thumbdrive for your songs? Though I can't see how a few gigs of beatmaps can be much of an issue for a new notebook.

I've got a bit over 60GB of beatmaps. I know it isn't that huge, but it still is a big chunk.

Also when I chose my Notebook, I set a good cpu and gpu over a big HDD, so I got a better processor and a better graphics card, but in exchange I just got a 500 GB HDD in it. So 60 GB are over a tenth of the space, wich is pretty big in comparison...

I'm plannig to buy a big external drive, but therefore I first need money :(

It depends how you look at it, but for beatmaps (or even for a whole game) it is big...

That is the reason, why I try to get my method working conveniently.
