With the glorious new 16 player multi play rooms we have more players than we can view on the scoreboard which is unfortunate. Although we might get some way to view them all at once I think a good thing to have right now (and possibly even better than displaying them all at once) would be to have a couple modes you could toggle through with tab or something (like how tab turns it on or off).
I am talking about this scoreboard here
As you can see, once i failed I cant even see myself on the scoreboard or anyone who is rank 10 or lower.
1) Scoreboard displays the top 7 players and yourself
Since it only fits 8-9 players as it is, if you want to see how the top players in the room are doing you can just display them and see how you stack up.
2) Display the 8 players around you.
So if you are rank 12 it displays the 3 players below you and 4 above you. so if you are last, it will display the bottom 8 players, and if you are first it will display the top 8 players, but anywhere in between you can see who's above and who's below you.
3) Display exactly like in single player, Show the top player + 6 (or less) scores directly above you + your own score. and if you are in the top 8 then just display the top 8 players.
E.G.
An interesting compromise as well. Probably the easiest to implement but I like it less than option 2 since i like being able to see who's on my tail in a multiplay room.
