If this setting would be disabled with the "ignore beatmap skin" function then sure whatever, but if not then I don't agree with the potential to enforce a transparent playfield. This is however easy enough to do yourself for your own skin and possibly even for specific maps if you include your custom skin elements. Stop being lazy.
