serious answer: honestly I don't think it would have varied much?, like, the people putting in the effort to get #1 will do it in any system, be it a stream meta, be it a jump meta, be it ppv1, the skillsets that would be popular would be different and whatever but I think it would be about the same group of people that we have now.
