It'll be useful if the new version was buggy, simply downgrade the version.

It'll be useless if the problem was at the server itself. <.<
You can just back-up old version just in case but take note that very old versions won't let you connect to Bancho.

No, you shouldn't be using an older version of osu!. Instead, you should post your issue in Technical Support to get help.
