For me its all your base are belong to us (2001) because of its incredible power. no youtube, no discord, no tiktok, no insta, no facebook for this to spread, but still, it was EVERYWHERE, and also its quite a banger despite being a 24 year old song

there are specific images and videos I have saved, this one for example is a personal favourite of mine

but like, meme as in actual broad trends, like the ones there have been listed, I don't know how to answer, because from my point of view, something like rickroll isn't inherently funny, it's the actual act of the bait and switch that is funny, and for that, there are good and funny applications, and painfully unfunny ones

now, what is the one meme that I think on average is the funniest?, Even to that question I still don't have an answer, mainly, because i've honestly fallen out of touch with that general meme culture, I don't know which are the modern memes, and while I can just say a older one, that would just be nostalgia, because if i'm being honest, i've not seen a all your base are belong to us joke in a long time, and certainly not enough where I can truly definitively talk from a global point of view.

in arccreate, we had a series of meme charts called "aesthetic slaynation". it's a cringetok compilation comprised of, well, "slay"-type memes but charted in an arcaea simulator. It's so cringe it's funny lol
