Perhaps take a slight break in between hours.
When my arm starts slightly hurting (I use mouse) I take that as a hint to take a break before I wake up in pain the next day lol
There's really no way to completely avoid it I would say

But was your finger like a little numb sometimes? Im afraid ;w;

Every time I get numb or stressed out I usually play another game or take a break from the computer. Your eyes and fingers are for other things, such as running around, getting some exercise.

Well, thanks, gonna take break then x)

It'd be 10 times better if you could give us a picture of how you're holding the pen or at least someone's that displays the same grip style. I'm very intrigued by how you might lose blood flow in your thumb (or whatever it is that produces that numbness) by holding your pen.

On the other hand, it could very well mean that you've just played continuously for hours without taking any sort of break, and that the sort of pressure you're exposing your hand to is over the limit, resulting in said numbness.

Basicly that.

I probably press too hard with thumb ;_;

Oh yes, that might be the mix of what I just described. Are you applying pressure to the pen with your thumb though? As in - are you using your thumb exclusively to get a better accuracy while you're playing? It might just be that you're not using all of your fingers equally to balance out the pen, but instead just the thumb and since it's in that position for extended periods of time, it is possible for it to go numb.

Yeah, that's actually so.
How to fix that?:c
Kouya-
Try taking a breaks every few songs or so, also hold the pen lightly as well .

Because if you hold it to tight, your fingers get numb and you'll start to shake when you're playing .

Well, there are two ways (one of them was actually already given by ColdTooth):

1) Learn how to apply pressure equally with the other 3 fingers (you can't really use the little finger for holding the pen, so that one's excluded) so your thumb is exposed to less stress or
2) Take 2 minute breaks between every few plays and stretch your hands a bit and then continue.

If the problem persists you might want to reevaluate your grip style, as it might not be perfect for you.
