I am constantly being silenced. It's pretty ridiculous actually. Getting off on a tangent, recently I was actually completely banned from OSU and had to email technical support for a while to get un-banned. The reasoning? Well, initially I asked them technical support why I kept getting silenced, but then I got perma-banned for my name (although the name was a profanity pun, it did not have any profanity in it). It took me a while, but then ended up changing my name and I got my account back (through many apologetic emails).

But that's off the topic. Anyway, I was silenced once again. I said no profanity. I never insulted anybody. I simply said the word "s*x" (censoring for a reason now, and this is my best guess for why I was silenced). There were two members talking about smacking each-others butt's hard with winky faces so I said: "Brb going to get popcorn to watch IM s*x on OSU public chat." I think this is why I was silenced. I mean come on, really? With no warning? Might I add that nothing happened to the members who were talking about smacking each-others butts.

I've been in a lot of different online chats that were in and out of games. Some examples are Tinychat, League of Legends, Kaneva, COD, Tribes Ascend, Guild Wars 2, etc. Out of all of these chats, none have ever banned me for my name. Also, none of them have ever been even CLOSE to being as strict in regards to the chat. Literally every time I try to communicate in the chat (which isn't often), I end up eventually getting silenced forcing me to quietly play on my own and be scared of saying something in the chat. I really love this game, and the community, and I'd hate to be banned (again) for something as ridiculous as this. Also, I love the members so I'd love to be able to communicate with them without severe repercussions for seemingly harmless jokes.

So can somebody please provide me a list of things that are unacceptable to say in the chat since moderators or whoever is in charge now silence me without warning or explanation.

keep everything PG-13

less swearing. don't use word like "suck your dice" etc or "eating popcorn while watching six drama"

no dirty jokes. while many peoples can cope with it, moderators don't shows any mercy

read everything here

remember that the chat is PG13, and deliberately being rude/trolling/spamming with shit no one cares about just for "teh lulz" is unlikely to do you any good favour.

Yeah, something to avoid is anything sexual. Some moderators have zero tolerance whatsoever for it. It's annoying for various reasons, but it's something you just have to put up with.

Basically just be as respectful of others as you can and try to develop a good reputation.

If you see inappropriate behavior in chat, you use !report functionality.

If you think you are getting unjustified silence, try saving chat logs using /savelog (they will be in your osu!/Chat folder) and with enough logs, simply shoot an email to osu@ppy.sh regarding you getting silenced for reason you think is mostly likely wrong.

Also keep in mind that silence IS a warning.

mods are nazis
they don't enjoy fun
don't have fun
so you won't be silenced

Don't use that word (six) or anything similar to it, don't swear, don't insult anyone, obey the channel rule (e.g use english in #osu) and don't spam.

I'm quite sure there are other rules to follow, but those are the ones on my mind right now.
