I played osu lazer with unlimited refresh rate, and my fps was 1000, but now somehow my fps locked on 440, and when im alt tabbing to osu, my fps returns to 1000 for 3 seconds. Settings: fps limit: Unlimited, Direct3d 11, Multithreaded.
Thx for answering. My GPU definitely isn’t overheating—it never goes above 65°C. It has 8GB of VRAM, which allows me to play other games without any issues. Also, the game feels noticeably smoother with unlimited FPS, and I’m sure it’s not just a placebo.spaceman_atlas wrote:
Your GPU is probably thermal throttling or something. The solution is to not use unlimited in the first place. Trust me that unless you're also running single threaded you do not need unlimited fps.
I guess you could try other renderers and see if anything changes but there is very little point of torturing your gpu past a certain threshold. Your screen can only show so many frames anyway.
