My laptop specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU
Installed memory(RAM): 4. GB
Systeam type: 64-bit Operating System.

I had this laptop since 2010 as a gift from my mother for my graduation. I know its not a gaming pc but i mange to run some games pretty well. So far i have osu on 1280 x 720 resolution and have most of the quality stuff off (pretty much turn anything off that my slow the performance). Even though the games run above 100 fps, i feel like my mouse still has a small snag to it. not sure if its just my mouse or my pc. With a pc like this, do you think theres any way i can become a pro osu player?

Play for about an hour a day, every day. You will improve. You will improve faster if you challenge yourself.

I started off osu! with a computer 5 times more crap than yours, and I managed to become fairly decent at the game.
You really don't need that good of a computer to run osu; Lol I was playing at 60 fps back then and I improved everyday.
Ever since I got a new computer, the smoother game play obviously helped me, but not drastically.
You should not have any problems getting better, if you just put in the effort each day :>

I started off playing Easy and just a couple of songs, once you get use to it, you start to gradually play normal and then hard or even Insane .

I played online a lot and the people I met on Osu was the way I got addicted to it and became slightly better ^^;

So yea, play an hour a day if you wish or even more, you'll get the hang of it, I'm sure you will .

I don't think there's any trouble with your pc ._. enough to run osu

Uhm comp specs has nothing to do with your osu skills tbh
Unless it's terrible lag that makes the song freeze or if you have shitty wireless mouse or keyboards that might affect it lol
My friend plays with under 60 fps and can do insane maps fairly easily.
Just play a shit ton and always challenge yourself to play harder songs.

Just keep trying your best at every song even if it's just normal difficulty. Once you get the hang of it try some songs on hard. If you can't beat them, go back to normal for a bit and then come back and retry them again. Rinse and repeat and eventually you'll get better. Best of luck!

It has taken me about 6 months to be able to pass even a small portion of the hard maps out there.

i3 isn't even a bad CPU, it should be fine. Go into options and turn on the fps indicator, as long as it doesn't go below 60 your hardware is fine and it's software causing any mouse input lag. Go into options, and tamper with the resolution and fps limit. Try setting the fps limit to 'unlimited', and make sure the resolution is full screen and at the native resolution of whatever your laptop is.

But If you really wanted to get serious about Osu! a desktop setup would be better, simply because you don't have to look down at a small laptop screen; you can adjust the position of your mouse, keyboard and monitor and get better posture. You could even run a laptop like a desktop by connecting these devices into your laptop and then setting it aside.

Whatt? did you think your pc is a piece of shit..?
Everything impinging about being a pro or such like that will end with practice.... quality of tools that support it will come as the 2nd priority

This game would probably run on a toaster if you tried hard enough.

Try buying a new mouse. It may not sound like much, but a half decent mouse makes a BIG difference!

I really wouldn't try to put yourself in this mindset. If you are playing this game JUST to become a "pro" at it, then what is the point? Play the game for fun. You won't get better if you aren't having fun.
