So I just recently achieved a 200pp play,I basically single tap my way on all maps (except for streams and bursts ofc).

I've tried learning to alt but it just feels awful to do jumps with and thats where I kind of need the extra speed and stability. I feel like a lot of plays I could get pp wise are locked behind a more developed finger control and the ability to alt at will while still maintaining the focus on single tap.

For reference I can alt on almost any 3 star map and get between B to S while I can single tap 5 stars and get an S pretty easily.

Should I keep pushing alt for the sake of greater pp plays?
Should I dedicate my playtime to improving my single tap speed?

My mantra in this situation is that there are maps which MUST be alted, there are no maps which MUST be singletapped.

mostly depends on what you personally want, but like naiad said you have to alt some maps

i personally recommend learning both alternating and higher singletap speed as most players will find finger control easier with singletapping, but if i had to choose one alternating would win

i personally singletap what i can within my speed range, but there are alt maps, and fast jumps that require alternating. i just learned to alt for those types of maps by playing them. the only problem there for me is that there's an awkward mid speed where it feels slightly too fast for singletap but too slow for alt
