[Archived] [osu!web] Gained ranks out of thin air

Problem details: I just looked at my profile (I haven’t played for a month) and I saw that I somehow gained 6 SS’s, 193 A ranks, and lost about 50 S ranks

I literally haven’t opened Osu in a month
Also I worked really hard to remove my regular SS’s and now I have 4 more to worry about
And this just happened, I regularly check my profile, and yes, I did switch lazer mode on and off n’ stuff

Recently ranks were recounted to fix users who had negative rank counts. One conscious change is that now lazer rank rules are used, which can mean B scores can become As, so that part might not require investigation. However I'm not sure how you'd "gain" SSes. Do you know what map the "gained" SSes are on?

First off, I woke up saw on youtube the Followpoint and was like “no way they just now fixed some rank issues”

Second off awh man the negative ranks were a cool easter egg

Third off I know why the SS’s might have appeared, it’s most likely because of the PP amount being higher, cause when I fixed my SS’s I got a less PP, but improved my score, so now the higher PP maps count only, and that would explain them appearing out of nowhere.
For an example beatmapsets/2039668#osu/4254590 - I improved it from just a NC SS to HD+NC something, but the acc was worse = worse pp = the NC SS being the dominant one.
That is super unfortunate tho, I have to go through the hell of SSing them again with harder mods

The amount of pp should not matter.

scores/3283719693 This is after I imporved the SS
And before that i had just a NC play on it (SS) - which you can find on my profile at the bottom - 140PP

scores/3283719693 should be counted for ranks rather than scores/2656112587 as the total score of the first one is higher. When there are multiple plays in the database, the one with the highest total score is counted for the rank total.

Are you saying that does not match what you think happened?

See the thing is, prior to this I had 0 regular SS’s (excluding the one that I got on a loved map with NM 2* ;)) and I haven’t touched the game in a month. Like idonno what happened. Like I said, they appeared out of thin air. https://ibb.co/kJnSbC8

Bump

I do really want to resolve this issue, I just basically installed every map that I have ever played and reloaded the ranks of the maps, yet still, nothing, I improved that one SS that I did do intentionaly, but those 4 that I meantioned previously, I have no idea where they could have came from, because, again, I hadn't touched the game before the rank recalculation. I even improved all of my Mania, Catch and Taiko regular SS's, but still nothing. I've tried to search for the beatmaps on the beatmap search filters in-game and here, I even tried using osu!alt, I even deleted some of the SS scores I remember from the data base, but nothing.
Would it be possible for you to somehow look through every score I've ever set and maybe delete or just find the maps that I have them on, this has been bothering me for months, please.
