game stuck on 60hz

osu! forces 60hz on my display even if desktop running on 144hz, how do i fix it its even set to 144 in the config file and setting forcerefreshrate 1 or 0 doesnt do anything either, as soon as i tab to the game the screen goes black and it changes to 60hz

what version?
what operating system?
is the issue happening in menus only or also in-game, because menus always run at a reduced framerate

no idea what version i didnt change anything i just installed it, should be the latest
win 10
and no it has nothing to do with framerate the game physically force changes my monitor refresh rate as soon as i go fullscreen or tab to the game window, there is no setting in game for refresh rate which is actually fucking retarded btw, who does that lol

like i have quite literally never played a game my whole life that did not had refresh rate changer next to the resolution, whats the deal with that
