[osu!stable] my Bancho connection failed

Problem details:
it says " "Bancho connection failed: your copy of osu! is too old and needs to be updated before online play is possible." i have done everything possible vie even completely deleted and redownloaded osu and it still isn't working cany anyone help.

osu! version: Stable 20241030 (latest)

Have you attempted taking the osu!install.exe downloaded from home/download and put it into the same osu! folder as the previous one (basically replacing the .exe) and running the installer that way?

Can you make sure that switching to other release streams doesnt help the issue at all?

i did that and it still says the same thing.
