[osu!lazer] Can't play multiplayer.

Problem details:Can't play multiplayer.

I tried to play multiplayer with a friend, but the following message was displayed and I was unable to play.

---

The version was the latest and the same version as my friend.
Even if I update, it still says it's up to date.

I tried reinstalling, but it didn't solve the problem, so I would appreciate it if you could tell me the solution.

newest update is 2024.1101.0, you may both need to delete and reinstall your game, as a change to how updating works has recently occured

I have already reinstalled it, but the version is not updated.
It is also not possible to update from the listed version from within the game.

looks like i gave the wrong version number, your one is correct. Gonna wait for someone that knows a bit more to hop in because I'm out of ideas.

Please export your game logs and post them here via a file sharing website, you can find them in your lazer settings (General > Updates)

Please try running the game as administrator and see if that changes anything?

Running the game as administrator should NEVER be required. I am not sure why it has been suggested above, the game explicitly warns about this, hence the notification.

The problem is that you couldn't play online because the component responsible for game integrity couldn't update, because it couldn't access your temp file directory:

Fix whatever permissions issue causes this and you won't need admin. Mind you, now you could HAVE more permissions issues BECAUSE of running admin, but there's not much that I can do about that now.
