But the water is in a glass on mars, it doesn't count. I could put a glass on any solid planet.

@Pokebis: YE? Well I knew MJ died less than a minute after they found out.
L2STAYUP2DATE
I don't understand why we should care if you know things before anyone else or not. We could tell MJ died because the entire internet exploded. And we'd hear about it eventually anyways; who gives a fuck when you find out? I created this topic with the intention of discussing the news story, not to show everyone who cool you were for knowing it before anybody else.

Firstly, the water is frozen. Secondly, water has more uses than just drinking. Thirdly, the gravitation on the moon is quite enough to drink something, especially considering spacemen eat spacefood at zero gravity. Seriously, think how long it takes to get to the moon. Also keep in mind people have traveled there. I don't think they made it without drinking anything.

Water could be used as fuel for energy (hydrogen), oxygen to survive, water to survive, water to grow sprouts and others that does not requires soil, and probably more stuff can be done
Ya, it helps

Well it does make sense if you consider that the moon is actually a peice of our planet that went into orbit after a collision with a meteor. Water simply followed the peice of ground into orbit and instantly froze and stayed frozen all these years.

If you look at this that way though, it gets extremly interesting though because that would mean that maybe some ancient species are frozen intact in that water deep inside the moon (That's if they wernt crushed by that meteor).
Oh, so you're saying life started on earth, then the moon formed?

WHAT? Learn to read.

I'm talking about the Giant Impact hypothesis.

What I said is that a meteor hit the earth and a big piece of our planet got detached and went into orbit, forming the moon.
This explains alot of similarities they found between the moon and our planet. Also, back to what I was explaining, it would mean that some of OUR living organisms are on in the moon water, frozen. Was just a crazy idea though, I have no proof on that one, but hey that's what this thread was supposed to be about.

I think I should point out that no forms of life are known to have existed that far back (we're talking the very infancy of earth) and provided some basic single celled organisms existed, they would hardly survive (speaking of the remains) being hurdled out into space and being compressed into a satellite. Speaking of remains; consider the Cambrian Explosion soft and hard tissue theory here.

Also: please don't do that thing with the pictures again (the three in a row, ffs dude).

How is it about?
The main topic of this thread was argumenting.
Well atleast that's what I understood from it.
If we make a thread where we all say shit we all agree on, how is that any fun?
lukewarmholiday
You call this an argument?

More like a troll(or what I deeply hope is one) with downs posits a random theory that makes no sense scientifically.

Then of course you have my posts.

You sure are in a very good position for calling me a troll.

Go ahead mr smartypant. Do better.
Anyone can post a picture. Just go to eBaumsworld and you'll get shitloads of them. Now coming up with original content, that's where trolls fail, aka you.

P.S.: That image I posted which got deleted was original content.

No, there's no atmosphere to shield the moon from the heat of the sun.

The moon is hotter than I am.
