Tapping and Timing issues.

Was just wondering if anyone had anything I can use to try and improve my tapping and general timing.

My Tapping seems to becoming worse over time, its extremely inconsistent especially on bursts it feels like I have to guess how to hit one every time they come up and I never feel like I know how to hit them, I thought if I were to just play more of them I would get better at them over time but I seem to have stayed the same.

I honestly cant tell if this is just a tapping issue as I just have issues in general with timing, iv been questioning my timing my whole time playing but just gave up in the end as I don't know what causing the issue for me. I will always hit early no matter what and when I try to pay attention to the song and approach circle It just ends up in mixed results, either being an early 100 or a late 100.

I have tried some finger control maps and stream practice maps but I usually just play them the same each time I try them, mostly hitting early and an extreme high UR and have never seen any improvement from it.

I have been stuck in the 4.5 - 5* range for about 2 years and am just walking in circles atm.
Ofc I will also play more

Sorry if its not that much info as I can't really put my finger on what's causing it lol, any advise for what I can do in my play sessions or something I can look into doing would be appreciated.

HR or high AR is a good solution for clicking too early + there are offsets you can put on. In any case, I'd suggest you not to overconcentrate, and kinda play whilst you're relaxed. I think allat would help ya.

Hr or high ar is kinda a crutch, making you react to circles later and not solving the actual issue though. staying relaxed is good though

I havent been playing (apart from occasionally for fun) therefore not improving, but have the same issue with tapping early and unstable rate - especially low bpm for me, what has helped a bit in the past (I used to be even worse somehow) is finding maps you get like 95-7.xx% acc with bpms and patterns you usually have trouble tapping as accurately and trying to improve those scores. Making smaller more realistic and attainable gains.

Maybe also try raising OD in lazer on easier maps you might get bad ur on or tap a bit off beat, but still get good acc from the lenient timings. I havent tried this, lazer wasnt as playable yet when i was actively trying to improve

Trying to slam your head against a finger control or stream practice map usually is trying to do too much at once and wont help much.

Stream practice maps usually suck anyway
