istg im playing a 4 star and its so easy im getting a 99% or more until i get jump scared with like 10 extremely tight minijacks and then the most akward gp imaginable. its so hard to find consistent difficulty songs and when i do i get atleast 95% which is my goal

it don't stop at low end 4s, mania star rating is not very accurate so expect it to get worse as you go up the ladder

well, thanks for the warning atleast. time for the sequel of this post asking where the fuck are the 4 stars which are mostly chords and shit because i found this 3.9 star chart of a song called "igaku" where its legit just a pattern of "quad jump quad jump chord jump quad jump" really fun

learning pattern names is useful to find what you like, try looking for chordjacks, usually is better to look at loved or graveyarded maps if you want more pattern specific stuff

The SR system mainly takes density into concern instead of patterns, so speed maps with only streams and jacks are always relatively underweight. Jumpstreams can also range from overrated jumptrills to underrated long anchor patterns with stamina-heavy one hand trills. Handstreams and dense chordjacks depend on your reading skill so it varies for everyone.

In general, you have to download maps of each pattern and work your way up from easier maps. BPM is a better indicator, don't worry about SR.
