Currently, there aren't any "speed centered" tournaments happening, and not for 6-digits, but feel free to look through other tourneys that are here. Also, no offense, but none of your top 100 plays have been set in the last 3 years, and tbf with you, you would get absolutely decimated
i thought the point was to play for fun weird attitude to have but thanks for the information regardlessThatAvocado_Boi wrote:

The guy would get clapped on HR and some NMs most likely

we are the same rank, thank you for your unwarranted criticism again thoughSnapy wrote:
I mean if you want to play for fun, then sure you can find lots of tourneys, but if you want to win, "fun" isn't something that is associated with them. Again, you wouldn't even stand a chance rn, but that's something to work for.
those few thousand do not actually matter and your top play is not really much more impressive other than the fact that it is worth more pp. For tournaments rank largely does not matter between ranges since a lot of tournament players actively do not farm so their ranks are lower than they likely should be. While youre right, that since he's new to tournies and he hasnt been active, he most likely wont do too well, playing tournies for fun just to play with friends is also a nice experience whether you do well or poorly. There are plenty of 6 digit tournies that bro can try.Snapy wrote:
First of I was just being real with you, second of all my rank is higher (and those few thousand make a difference anyways) + I have a way better top play than you + I have been active for a few months without a break, so our skill is barely comparable with you not playing for a few years. Also, I'm not saying that I would so good in them, quite the opposite actually, I'm giving you advice from my own experience, in saying that you wouldn't stand a chance, and my points are valid.
why do you have to be such a jerk about it though? what happened to constructive criticism?Snapy wrote:

sure, maybe he can't judge you, but can you blame him for replying that way when your initial response to his post was "you would get decimated"? that's not constructive in the slightest. that's literally just an insult and won't help him get any betterSnapy wrote:
Because he said "we are the same rank" as to say, you can't judge me on tournaments since you're as good as me, even tho I said that, if he wants to play for fun, he surely can do that.
not everyone has the same goals i simply want to participate in a tournament centered around my best skillset, you were def being condescending but its chill,Snapy wrote:
Sure, that was rude, but I just wanted to tell him before he got any hopes, that he has a very very slim chance of placing high in any tournament that he'd participate in right now. Let's just leave it at that
if you actually know of any good tournaments for me that at least have a good ammount of dt and nm speed in the pool id be very gratefulBBC Enjoyer wrote:

how do search for osu tournaments outside of this forumSnapy wrote:
Ye sure, imma find you some (:
Update, there is only an "Aim Legends" tourney, and the rest either don't include 100k + or are a different gamemode, or country, or region. So no sorry, actually I haven't even seen a speed tournament of any kind. Maybe you'll start something new :0
hii, be sure to check the tournament forum somewhat freequently, once you are known among tourney players you may end up getting invited to private ones as well.Ginkgo1 wrote:
thanks for the linkSnapy wrote:
Well there is a sub-channel in the official osu discord server, then there was this, also sometimes ppl advertise it in-game general or multi chat, then this
where can i find the mappools at there dont seem to be any linked in the posts im seeing id love to give them a tryczeczotka wrote:

as for the skill discusion you guys had above, I know it came out as harsh from Snapym but the reality even in 6D tournamenst is that people are way better than their rank suggests, so even if you sign up to one keep in mind that there are people who play tourneys all the time and will outseed you so much you may not even qualify.
If you are actually curious about your theoreticall placment vs tourney players, check the forum and find a running/older tournament, play the qualifiers pool (remember SV2 mod) and check with the seeding where you would stand.
they are on mainsheets.Ginkgo1 wrote:

for example:
Orange text Main Sheet in this forum post takes you to a google sheet. Look for Mappools TAB and there are this tourneys mappools
Its pretty rare to find a speed category in a tournament, moreover in a 6 digit range, but once in a while they show up, just checks community tournament often, you bound to find oneGinkgo1 wrote:
