There can be several reasons why Computers run slow. Here are a few reasons and how to fix them:

Hard Disk space filled
Hard Disk should have atleast 200 to 300 MB of free space for temporary files.
Background Programs
Remove or disable any TSRs or programs that automatically start each time the computer boots. To see what programs are running in the background, how much memory they're using, and their CPU usage open Task Manager.
An anti-virus scanner on the computer, spyware protection program, or other security utility often begin to scan the computer and it can decrease the overall performance of your computer.
Computer or processor is overheating
Make sure your computer and processor is not overheating, excessive heat can cause a significant decrease in computer performance.
If any of the above solutions don't work out try to reinstall the Operating System and if the problem still persists it can be a serious hardware problem. May be CPU, RAM or Motherboard.

No offence, but that was a horrible post.

Main problem with your post is that it's very badly put. It's one whole thing in no particular order. Doesn't tell much at all how to really fix it and is missing quite alot. The couple stuff that are there are quite much correct, but i wouldn't say that they are all as equally important.

But yea usually a big cleanup can speedup everything alot, and even better, a format.
Defrag, CCleaner, Combofix, Uninstall undeed programs, etc

Fastest way to make your computer fast:

Add more gigahurtz.
Pokebis
Best way:
Delete System32.

Bestest way:
Use watercooling
make sure the case is sealed, and fill it with water.
It will run way cooler, and therefore you will be able to overclock for more gigahurtz

I do it all the time and it works, yeah.

But doing it with liquid nitrogen works better.
