I do not think that is bannable - I may be wrong though.

It is somewhat of a disadvantage to play on a controller.

There are people who would play osu! on a wii controller, so it sounds a wild idea but it's alright. As long as you don't modify the scores or the controllers to gain advantage of the game.
Also, since when osu!catch is on Steam?

Using a controller is perfectly fine for all modes. There is many taiko players that use controllers and people have set pretty good plays using a controller on CTB.

Sorry for the late reply but you can add games that are not on Steam to your library. I did this so I can use my controller for osu!JustABeginner wrote:
