Hi
is it still not possilble that you can use 1 back button layout for the menu and a diffrent one for the scoreboard ?

Yesn't.
You can make the back button transparent with it's usual resolution (this makes the hitbox). Then skin it on songselect-bottom and ranking-panel. The only downside to that is that the back button will visually scroll away on the ranking panel while it's hitbox is still in the corner of the screen, and it's also completely lost on the osu!direct screen.
