It's something that I wanted from the very first days so I can see my friends and country's ranking in game, but I constantly need to go to the website for that. Is this still a possibility to get it into the game?

I'm aware of the demand for this, and will explore the possibility of adding this, but full disclaimer that depending on how heavy on the database this feature ends up being, it might end up being gated to supporters only. The relevant place to track this on github for now is https://github.com/orgs/ppy/projects/18?pane=issue&itemId=72207219 I suppose.
