recently i have been struggling with forearm and wrist strain in both hands
might it be caused by the fact that i have my elblows off the desk or on chair elblow rests?
and is there a chance that it might have some long term benefits or do people do that bc its just subjectively comfortable for them

I believe that if your wrist is higher than your elbow (i.e. your forearm is angled up) it does increase the risk of hand injuries but I'm not a medical professional so take that with a grain of salt.

this is pretty good advice, it also helps avoid hand fatigue as well

YAAHH NAIAD SAID IT.. When I have my elbow uncomfortably below my wrist level it'll actually hinder my tapping motions (force-able and leading to future injury). 2 Solutions:

1. Push your board back.
2. You sit further back.

I have my monitor 70cm away from my eyes. Asus a450l laptop here, not that big of a monitor.
