have you tried configuring your offset yet?
If not then try to find an offset that works for you so that your taps match the music. I suggest find it by using tokakus's guide. Also hitting too early = less offset, hitting too late = more offset. hopes this helps

try to hit the notes to the beat, increasing scroll speed can visually make it much easier to do, like netzoid said make sure your offset is on time to the beat of the song + if you really want to take it more seriously mute effects (aka hitsounds) so you can more accurately time the song to your keyboard taps
change offset, change scroll speed, change skin if you're using default skin and most importantly just play more
