To preface I am a relatively high rank player and I've honestly spent a lot of time trying to help others improve. I'm one of the most active members of the Maltese osu! community and I try to help each newcomer there to improve as fast as possible, as we really need 6 players for owc some day. In my opinion coaching isn't what it's made out to be, I certainly wouldn't spend money on it, and I don't want to be a coach. I will say that you are free to add me on discord @naiad and I'll try to answer what questions you have (although if you read this right away I'm about to sleep).

I would recommend that you switch to tablet now if you intend to use it in the long run.

Regarding your inability to play to the beat, it's probably at least partly because your reading foundation is very shaky. When you struggle to read the patterns in front of you, you have to spend mental energy on that instead of focusing solely on the rhythm. Make sure to read, don't react. Many beginners will panic and click each circle as soon as it appears, but in the long run you're best off doing what I'd call reading "actively". Try to make note of the position and timing of each circle as best as you can (obviously in real time on a high difficulty map you won't spend a measurable amount of time thinking about this). The position part is self explanatory, and you'll use the rough timing window that you determined in order to tap to a beat that falls within that window. Try not to categorize patterns into super broad categories like "stream" (which many beginners tend to view as anything that isn't highly spaced and is faster than a jump), as this can cause problems with playing certain more complex patterns (using the previous example, many beginners have issues playing 1/3 patterns because of this).

I will also say that it's good that you're thinking about acc and realizing that you have an issue at this early stage. Many beginners brute force harder maps with low acc early on, but if you eventually end up caring about the rankings, leaderboards or anything of that sort acc is an essential skill to learn.

Adding on stuff that Naiad didn't mention:

First clicking with your mouse is pretty suboptimal, I'd suggest putting some time into getting used to clicking with your keyboard exclusively. Once you are used to using your keyboard then you can make a decision on which style you want to move forward with. In the end this game is all about comfort, so what you find the most comfortable will probably be what you will do best with. However, if you don't really have a preference, then using your keyboard will probably be better especially as patterns get harder and your movements have to become faster and more precise. If you were wondering, I think the best mouse-only players are around high 4-digit to low 3-digit, so it's not like you can't get good at clicking with your mouse, but they are nowhere near top players (an then there's siina clicking with both mouse and keyboard, he honestly scares me).

I'd also suggest trying out tablet as well, if it's a screenless one. The earlier on you try out tablet the faster you can get to your current skill level with it, so if you were to wait until you were a lot better, it'll take longer to learn, maybe even several months. Once you've gotten used to tablet then you can again make a decision if you want to play with mouse or tablet moving forward depending on what you find more comfortable/easy. Unlike what you click with, the difference between tablet and mouse isn't that significant, so just go with whatever you prefer.

You just started playing so play songs you like till you reach 3-4 stars

here are few tip I'd give you.

Make sure you play loosely and relaxed so you won't form any bad habits cuz it can cause you to hit multiple skill walls pretty early.

Try not to form any bad habits like forcing yourself to play or playing through pain.

most importantly. have fun. one improves the most when they have fun.
