Problem details: I recently bought a laptop that uses 2560x1600 resolution but I have played on 1920x1080 for years and my area feels different. Is this in my head or is it different? First thing I noticed is that in the Hawkins drivers the screen icon says 1.6 instead of 1.7778 because of the aspect ratio. Any fix for the area?

it's most likely placebo, although it could be that you haven't changed your resolution in your tablet driver yet

a 120x120 area in 1920x1080 will feel different in 2560x1600.

you should probably adjust it to your new scale, so for example if you used a 120x120 area, now its going to be 160x178 to feel the same

the math would go something like this:

width:

new width/old width= actual width

height:

new height/old height = actual height

now just do (if its 120x120):

area width (120) x actual width

and

area height (120) x actual height

you should have your old area, feeling like it was when you had 1920x1080
