This drama made me realize that top players are still humans, able to feel jealousy and threat from others. In this temporary moment, I feel no indifference between me and a top player, because even in the upper echelons, they can feel what I feel towards my peers that improve quicker than I do (without the witch hunting part lol).

Your value system should include skill and proficiency, but that only makes up for a small percentage of how you see a person. People are complex, and Osu is one of the many competitive communities that makes the mistake of deifying their top players. They're just people playing the game. Badeu has never been a good guy, to be honest. I remember when I was a 6 digit a few years ago I was in a twitch chat and I was under a misconception regarding the pp system - I thought that high AR had no effect on pp. He ended up making fun of me and rallying the entire chat against me. I was in the wrong, but I wasn't rude about it and it was very silly and immature for him to go after some random 6 digit like this using his popularity. This isn't some traumatic, defining moment in my life and it doesn't bother me at this point but I do still distinctly remember it. It's of little surprise to me that he would act like this.
