[Archived] osu! consistently crashing when typing Japanese in the search bar for maps

Problem details:
i could manually scroll through my maps, but i have a LOT of them so it would be easier to search with the search bar, problem is, every time i type it crashes with no explanation.

why not just search for them in romaji?

I'd be curious to see the crash log for this:

Open Finder
Go to Applications > Utilities > Console
Select Crash Reports from the list on the left
Locate the crash reports for osu in the list
copy and paste the contents of the most recent into here.
