Trying to learning alternate tapping after learning single tap

Hii, wanna ask for any tips for learning alternate tapping. I can do around 5 star maps with single tap but some songs I wanna play are just too fast for single tapping to keep up, so I tried to learn alternate tapping.

1-2 star maps are just too slow for impatient me so I jumped to 3 star maps. On slower ones I could do pretty good but as soon as it gets a little faster, like adding zoom mod to maps I can play, my fingers just get so confused that they think they've pressed a key but was just holding down. I've practiced for like a week, both with zoom and without, but there doesn't seem to be any improvement.

Any tips on how you git guded at alternate tapping would be great and thanks for reading my ramble :3

It's naturally how I played osu in the first place. So you can perhaps do the same with both playing alternating and single tapping. Just don't think too much when it comes to tapping, let your inner rhythm pulse guide you and your muscle memory will develop on it's own overtime

You simply have to push it, there isn't any magic trick

If the maps you're trying to learn on are too hard you probably have to play easier maps. It can be worth to start from 1* maps no matter how impatient you may feel

What the hell! It's VILLARD OSU

Anyways, my advice if you want to learn how to alt is to force yourself to exclusively alt for a few weeks, never singletapping. If you get confused and start mashing, stop tapping until you've gathered yourself enough to continue alting from the finger that should have tapped.

Play easier maps than your comfort zone to truly drill the alt tapping into your brain; alt tapping itself should take no more than 3 or so days to get used to, and mastering finger control with both alt tapping and single tapping should not be that far off either.

I had to relearn alt tapping from a hybrid tapping style, and even had to use half time mod to truly understand what order to tap in some maps. Do not forget your old tapping style, though.
