Ya, ya. I know it is weird to talk about Climate Change in game website, but I thought this could be a good place, since there are lots of people from all kinds of countries. So..... Lets see what Climate Change could possibly do to your Country?

My country is Malaysia, which is situated near the equator, so, we have a tropical climate here.

We don't have any natural disaster such as typhoon, earthquake and things as such, but we don't have 4 seasons also. I have never seen snow before too... would glad to see one.

And raining is everywhere here, and I actually quite like raining coz it makes the hot climate a bit cooler. ;p

Effect wise, nothing much, imagine summer all year long.... xD

Well, Climate Change could overflow half of Holland :3

Belgium is a safe spot :3

I am unsure how Climate Change might effects my country. It'd probably change the weather, though.

dunno if it's been climate change but Georgia weather (particularly the coast) has been pretty retarded past few years. Like right now it's supposed to be chilly and I'm sweating my ass off just sitting outside

I don't know how a theory would affect me much.

A theory's existence may annoy the fuck out of me though.

Also any strange weather you may be experiencing is normal.

You guys should read my list I posted earlier it has some pretty important things. LIKE DID YOU KNOW GLOBAL WARMING CAUSED WORLD WAR 4? IT ARE FAXS!

It snowed in the first 1/3 of October where I live. If it changes anything, it'll most likely just change the winter. Longer winters = boo, shorter winters = yay. Though we already have snow on the ground for roughly half the year anyways, so not much would change I think.

OOOOOOOOO (<--- deathmetal growl )

Seriously though, I sneeze more power than climate change and I don't worry about things I can't punch in the face.

Horrible. I hate summer and winter. :D

Although I won't deny global warming has contributed to record highs(Part of it may have been due to cities. Since a lot of the record heatwaves have been in cities), everything else was meant to happen anyway.(Ice caps melting, although they may be melting faster than they should, WE DON'T REALLY KNOW FOR SURE. Weather abnormalities are common during the warming trends.) We have had an impact on the earths overall temperature but it's still hard to tell if anything is going to destroy the world around us.

Work on fixing deforestation or some other more worthwhile environmental crisis.

Actually, neither global warming nor deforestation are really a problem. Just media hype shit. Trees are replanted, yet the scare tactics seem to ignore this crucial fact. Anyways, I think we should focus more on space. I'm sure there are resources out there just waiting to be harvested. Maybe if we get there before climate change eats the world we can live on without having to care about Earth anymore. Look at all that space we're ignoring.

Be scared about population growth.

That's going to cause you to lose money, food, jobs, lives, basically everything under the sun.
Pokebis
Overpopulation falls under the same "bullshit" category.

I'm more worried about overstupidity.

I have to agree with the mediahype thing.

Sure, there might still be a man-made planeteater. Though I sincerely doubt entirely man-made. Looking at my climate charts there are a number of highs and lows in temperature, some higher than what has been projected for the coming century (warm periods and ice ages come in evenly distributed patterns).

However I came across a graph showing human population growth which was slightly disturbing; "The end of the last Ice Age was followed by more stable and benign global climate..." The graph shows estimated numbers, since there were no accurate and widespread traditions for population statistics, until just recently (historically). The graph pitches up at approx. 45 degrees at roughly 10 000 BP (the agricultural revolution). Population increases further after the industrial revolution (as you all are aware of I am certain).
Where I'm going with this? To be blunt, there is no real original nature or such a thing as a natural forest. What we see is a product of simple human manipulation;
wheat has been bred, one type savanna is the product of pastoralization and the amazon plains (thought to have been uninhabited) have recently been found to contain "islands" of vegetation, connected to each other by "pathways" of vegetation, in which high levels of the bi-product chemicals of human settlement have been discovered.

I think keeping a level head in this mudpatch is of the essence.
The climate is changing, our planet is at the peak of a global warm period. If humans have contributed to elevating or manipulating the global temperature, we picked a bad time to do so.
But as stated, there will be a drop in global temperature. Whether this happens "on schedule" or not, you'll have to contact a scientist who knows how to keep her speeches short and concise.

EDIT: It is also important to point out that climate is a very complex machine, divided into Global Regional and Local.

Thank you for your time and forgive the block of text. I could go on forever.

Makes it rain less. In fact, generally makes everything better.

Well the hurricane season in the caribbean has extend to December in the past few years. Hurricane causes a lot of floods every year... And this country, been poor, a lot of people living near the rivers losses their houses or their lives...

2009 was a weird year for Korea. There wasn't any major damage by hurricane, no major flood, and the summer was colder then last year. I can't say I hated it.
The Climate Change should be increasing major weathers though, so don't know if next year is going ot be like this.

In Singapore the weather is pretty badly affected, but only in terms of the supposed rainfall patterns and all, and the weird weather. I only used to ever see partial raining in Singapore maybe once or twice a year (as I do travel up and down from home a lot) but this year alone I've seen five such occurrances, not to mention extremely erratic weather that can change from sunny to rainy quickly.

My current flu is caused by this sort of pattern, as my body is extremely unsuited for strong weather changes like this TToTT
