just like many, an update window opens, a logo appears and the game does not open after that

Can you post the other contents?
Does updating your .net framework to 4.7/8 change anything?

There should be 1 more file, the runtime.log, that would would help a little more since it shows a log of its runtime and what happened.

Have you tried updating your .net framework? (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework)


If thats not there then we can check for crash logs through the event viewer:

wiki/en/Help_Centre#event-viewer
