Bit of help on some tablet errors (wacom bamboo)

Recently my long beloved Wacom bamboo tablet has been acting up ever since I switched computers, to where the dock wouldn't show up, nor would the properties respond to a tablet being present regardless of the fact that I was using it as that popped up. It's obvious the drivers failed soI went to re-install them to no avail, eventually after derping enough I ended up trying 3 different tablet drivers, none worked, and then I realized that this tablet came with a disc, which did nothing but give me an error.

Basically, all I want is to get to the tablet properties to change my touch area, but I can't, as it tells me there is no such tablet. If someone can direct me to the proper driver or whatnot I'd appreciate it.

Again, I have the generic black Wacom Bamboo tablet.
EDIT: IT'S THIS DINOSAUR: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CTL460-Bamb ... pen+tablet

What error did the disc installer throw you?

Also, what OS?

I'm on windows 8 and if I recall correctly, as I installed the disc's content, it would give me an error that it was unable to do whatever it was trying to do. I tried restarting my cpu, as that's what you're supposed to do if it works, but that didn't help.
