The fact that someone speaks Russian does not mean they should be pigeonholed into being handed over to Russia? So this is why pro-Russian protesters all over South/Eastern Ukraine have taken over government positions and are calling Crimea to be completely autonomous and are even bringing the idea of seceding to the table, right? Half of Ukraine is under threat of seceding to Russia, not just from the Russian troops, but from their own people. Half of Ukraine wants the EU, the other half wants RU. There just isn't one side to this predicament, nor is this black and white.tyrael6192 wrote:

I understand and do agree that it's blind chauvinism, but it doesn't hurt to try and knock some sense into someone, does it?Lewder wrote:

What's wrong with forming a personal opinion and expressing it to others whom interpreted the same article in a different manner expecting to receive their input on the matter? I'm personally following it semi-actively on the news via a credible Finnish broadsheet, that's irrelevant but I hope it gives my opinions any impact whatsoever to you.CDFA wrote:
Shitty reference about Crimea and Fire Emblem
The only thing to come out of this so far is that millions of edgy teenagers have found this opportunity to pretend that they're above everyone because they read a CNN article about this story and now spend their days arguing about it on the internet with people who have only read that same CNN article and maybe heard something from their stoner older brother.
what would be Ukraine's?Apex wrote:

@dkun i was talking outside crimea, and i was certainly not saying that people who want to be a part of russia should be deterred from doing so. my point was that you can't just say people want, or indeed ought, to be a part of russia purely on the basis that they speak the languageLewder wrote:

I seriously hope Russia isn't going to warI do as well. But excuse me, these freaking hard right ukrainian nazis ask Doku Umarov to blow us up, because Russia is weak. Any action has its consequences.
I hardly think most of pro-Ukrainians supports Umarov and his actions. It would be unfair if a whole country gets shitted on because of what few individuals or one group thinks.tiper wrote:
