Good afternoon! it's been a while since we've had an update, hasn't it?
We've been hard at work over the last few months to add new features to Skill Issue to make it faster and provide even more info.
Here's an overview of the upcoming changes:
1) The Skill Issue code has been completely rewritten for optimization purposes (Might not be the last time we rewrite it either)
2) Inactive players are nowcrossed out in the leaderboard to distinguish them from active players.
3) MORE STATS TO THE GOD OF STATS - we've added a star rating for each player, because as we've found out, it's a very useful feature when judging the coolness of two players with the same SIP. A higher star rating means a cooler player!
4) To satiate your everlasting thirst for knowledge, we decided to add separate metrics for score, combo, and accuracy, the total number of pp you have from tournaments only, as well as pp for each skillset. Additionally, we separated speed into tapping and high bpm, and added tech and precision skillsets.
5) MORE NUMBERS - we added the ability to select specific skillset parameters for rating and leaderboards, as well as (most) possible mod combinations.
6) Looking for a teammate in a certain rank range? To streamline the process, we've added a rank range function to the leaderboard - select your wanted "rank digit" and SIP will give you a list of relevant players!
7) Slightly tweaked the ranking formula, filtered out some tournaments and changed rating estimation for new players.
8) Fixed the reading ranking formula, AR8+DT does not count as "reading" anymore.
9) The /command descriptions have been rewritten to make them more clear.
10) Added the ability to compare two players' match history on a per-map basis.
11) Added the "debug explain" command to explain why your match was rejected by the system.
12) Haven't played tournaments before and your tournament uses SIP for screening? We've added a description for newcomers attempting the /rating command to alleviate confusion.
13) The /team predict command now replaces the /predict rvr command, and the /player predict command has also been added.
14) All commands now accept players' old nicknames - no need to write down the exact current nickname.
15) OPEN SOURCE TIME - 100% open! All code and formulas are available on github, so you can officially use it as a means of screening. We're happy to finally achieve this milestone after all the hard work we've put in.
