Hello folks and wonderful Devs!

Long time fan/player amateur leveled Osu! player here.

I wanted to bring up an OLD topic that I am finding no thread for right now. I recently started playing again and downloaded Lazer. It is awesome in so many ways, I can not love it more, but as the title suggests, we are unable to disable/enable or adjust the hitsound volume during gameplay.

Currently, we are able to adjust the volume of Beatmap or Osu! hitsounds by adjusting the Effects Volume in settings, but this also affects all the other awesome SFX that are in Osu!, especially the new and sleek Lazer!

In Osu!, we had the option to "Ignore Beatmap Sounds" which muted custom Beatmap Sounds altogether.
The only other workaround would be to choose a skin that has silent hitsounds, but currently in Lazer, there is none.

After reading up about this feature, I realize it is low on the priority due to its complicated implementation, but I'm sure I am not the only one that plays WITHOUT hitsounds. In fact, the me, it is way more distracting than anything, and I often use my internal drum-beat while listening to the music to enjoy playing any beatmap.

I hope this reaches a Dev's eye while I remain patient and hopeful for this feature.
Other players, please share your thoughts if you feel like it.
Thanks so much for the years of fun!

Thank you, that's very helpful.
After looking around, it seems like this topic was brought up only once in October 2023 here:

It is a bit unrelated but it still touches on the matter.
Also, if there is a way to make a skin for Lazer and insert 'silent' files, then I don't know how to do that. I believe it is not yet implemented in Lazer.
