New mod idea? (might have already been mentioned but oh wel)

I have had an idea for a mod, it might have been mentioned already but oh well :P

Normally sliders go by themselves and you follow them inside the circle. but what about a mod where you drag the ball yourself?

you would hit the slider at the start and then drag it to the end when the hit circle lands (the slider would go both ways so you could go back and forth before getting to the end)

also I think it should have a 0.16 percent bonus to balance with the other mods

I think this would be a cool idea and something fun for experienced players :)

I don't really get the point of this mod. It wouldn't change anything to the gameplay, would it? How would it make the game more difficult?

:/ I don't know. The accuracy would count the ball hitting the end of the slider early or too late that it would give you a 100.

well the way it would work is the same as a normal circle in the sense that you would have to hit it on time for it to be perfect :)

and it would make very jumpy maps waaaay more challening try airman with this XD

How do you want to judge if your slider ball is still on the track, if your cursor is on the track? How will slider ticks work?

The biggest problem I see with this is that it only makes long sliders, fast sliders, and slider jumps hard because you need to judge when a slider will end and because you can't abuse slider mechanics (which is absolutely required some harder maps). Streams maps will be unaffected by this change, and shouldn't deserve a multiplier, but some of the slider based maps will be impossible if you need to drag a short slider from point a to point b.

Becasue it screws up mechanics, I would say no to this mod.

I think it would work best if there weren't slider ticks, and instead just point A and point B.

And the cursor would be fixed onto the ball wherever you clicked it.

It totally agree with you this mod would mean people would have to stick to the sliders and make sure the finish them.

or another way the mod could go is that, it means you have to stay inside the diameter of the ball, rather than having an outside circle?

I think either would be good :)

--EDIT, now i think about it though, you would need slider ticks, so they would stay in time and not totaly abuse this on slow maps XD

I wouldn't say its a bad idea, but i wouldn't say its a mod.
I would more say it's some precision practice. But actaully it would cause problem indeed, as i could go super fast for on slider and go slow for the other. I think it could be more considered as a challenged mode, but not as a mod.
I'm not even sure if it would fit as a mode..

hmm it could be put into a challenge mode where

-The closer to the centre of the circle you hit the higher your point multiplier (4 rings , 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x)
-you have the drag the sliders
-spinners would have to be spun a certain way (the direction could come up above the spinner)


Possible ideas

-The song could speed up as time goes by
-The play area could flip upside down during breaks
-some notes could move around (not far the would be fixed to a point but orbit round it)
-spinning the ball inside a slider gives bonus multiplier (like spinning around the ball while guiding the slider)

Just a few ideas :D i would live if some were implemented

^Now you're getting a bit crazy. I would like to see a ridiculous mode implemented that just does weird things that distort the playing field. It's worked in other games. As for the original idea, I am having a hardtime figuring out what this mod is supposed to accomplish. Are the slider paths invisible or do you just need to go from one point in the slider to the other point with the ball?

1.16 score for just following the ball like we should be anyway? thats ridiculous considering DT/FL is 1.12...

The mod itself doesnt really change the gameplay either, so no support :(

i mean you actually phisically drag the ball, like the ball will be fixed to your cursor.

and the challenge mode thing is something i could mess around with and mod into an offline version XD

this sounds best as a like a unranked fun mod. though honestly, i wouldn't use it.
