[Archived] Osu resets my monitor's refresh rate

Problem details:
I use a VA monitor and I want to use 144hz instead of 165hz to reduce ghosting. However, whenever I launch osu the refresh rate resets back to 165hz. Even after I close osu, my monitor still runs at 165hz. It seems that osu is overriding my display settings. Any way to keep osu running at a lower refresh rate? Thanks for reading!

osu doesn't do that..
it'll always adjust to what your monitor is set to

you may have a separate nvidia profile set for osu.exe specifically, in which your refresh rate is set to 165hz

or maybe your screen has game detection and changes it when a game is running.

idk man when I launch other games, my refresh rate is still 144hz. And when i run osu in windowed mode, it also stays at 144hz. But whenever i use fullscreen in osu, it resets my display back to 165hz. I use an AMD gpu, and i disabled freesync in the osu game profile. Thanks for the reply still!
