so I'm thinking of starting a new skin and I want to maybe make some animations for the menu-back button or some hit animations for mania, but I have no idea what software I should use to make them. I know a couple 2d animation software's but you are supposed to draw each frame by hand and I just don't think that's what you guys are doing. so does anyone have recommendations for software I should use? I think what I'm looking for is vector animation software if that helps. thanks!

Well, anything that allows for keyframe based animations. But Adobe After Effects is pretty much the only choice, as it's an industry standard when it comes to motion graphics.
