The 5WCML, is a Tournament for all the people that did not make it into the main team of their country, yet want to represent their country by playing in the non-badged version.

- The 5 Digit World Cup 2024 (5WC2024) is a country-based world cup style tournament played in the osu! game mode.
- This is a 4v4, team size 8 tournament (minimum size of 6).
- Matches will be played using TeamVS and ScoreV2 with NF enforced on all maps.
- There will be a qualifiers stage that determines seeding for a double elimination round of 32 bracket stage.
- Country organizers are assigned and are responsible for submitting final rosters by the posted deadline.
- Warm-ups are not allowed.
- All posted times are in UTC+0.
- This tournament features protect rules.
- This tournament is not badged.
- The Minor League bracket stage is projected to run one week behind the Major League. All of the mappools will be shared with the Main League, with the exception of our own Ro32 mappool being used.
- The BWS formula is now standard, and badges from before Jan 1, 2021 do not count.
- Players may only play for the country listed on their profile flag, unless specifically listed otherwise in the rules document.
- Changes have been made to the mappool structures & freemod rules.
- No FM in qualifiers.
- Warmups are prohibited.
- You can only be picked as a Player if you've signed up to the Original 5 Digit World Cup
- Countries with more than 24 signups for the Original 5 Digit World Cup can draft a B Team to play in the Minor League, countries with more than 64 signups can draft a C Team as well.
- Additionally, countries whose A Teams do not qualify for the original 5 Digit World Cup are able to qualify for the Minor League.
- Players, team captains, and country organizers must remain in the Discord until their team has been eliminated.
- Players who have not registered during the registration phase will not be allowed to participate in the tournament.
- Players are registered to the country assigned to their osu! profile flag by default.

Freemod Rules
- Each country will have exactly one designated organizer, as appointed by the original 5WC.
- Country organizers are responsible for submitting a B and C team roster before the Team Submission Deadline.
- Teams must be submitted by the team submission deadline, no exceptions.
- Country organizers who are not also registered players are not allowed to join the lobby or make decisions on behalf of their team under any circumstances.
- Country organizers who are not the registered team captain should never submit reschedule requests or otherwise act as the captain in any way.
- Country organizers may choose whether to play. They do not have to be the team captain, however they must select one.
- Country organizers are responsible for selecting legitimate players. Those who appear to be multiaccounting or cheating will be reported to the appropriate authorities immediately. In extreme cases, this can result in the entire team’s disqualification.
- Country organizers that knowingly submit a roster in bad faith (e.g. with a known cheater, banned player, multi-accounter, etc.) will face severe consequences. This type of behavior will result in disqualification of the entire country. All individuals involved will be reported and blacklisted from future Minor League 5wc's.
Qualifier Procedures
- Qualifiers will be played in Head to Head, ScoreV2, with NF enforced.
- 4 players must be present to play the qualifiers round. If at any point the team does not have 4 players available to play the qualifiers round, the lobby will conclude and must be rescheduled.
- Teams have 120 seconds between maps to ready up.
- Qualifiers will be played in order from NM1 to DT3.
- In order, there will be 5xNM, 3xHD, 3xHR, and 3xDT for a total of 14 maps.
- Qualifiers will be played through exactly once per team.
- A Teams that did not qualify for major league will not replay qualifiers, their qualifier score for 5WC will be used instead.

Match Procedure
- Teams will have a designated referee for every match. This referee will notify both teams 15 minutes before the match is scheduled to begin.
- Lateness is defined as not having four players simultaneously present in the lobby when the match is scheduled to begin.
- Teams who are 5 minutes late will forfeit their protection, ban(s), and first pick.
- Teams who are 10 minutes late will receive a loss by default.
- All matches will be played in TeamVS with ScoreV2 and NF enforced.
- Split or asynchronous lobbies are prohibited.
- The !roll winner will protect second, ban first, and pick first.

Protections, Bans, and Picks
- Protections (AKA protects) allow teams to prevent a map from being banned.
- Each team can choose a map to protect during the protect phase.
- A protected map cannot be banned by any team.
- A protected map can be picked by either team at any point.
- All rounds will have 2 bans.
- Bans are ABBA.
- Double banning is allowed.
- Double picking is allowed.
- Picks alternate between teams after the first pick.
Timers & Timeouts
- Teams will have 120 seconds between all decisions (protecting, banning, picking, and ready-up).
- Teams have one (1) 120-second timeout that can be used at any point and for any reason during the match.
- Timeouts that have been invoked after the current decision timer has finished will not count, appropriate delay of game punishments will apply in these circumstances.

Freemod Rules
- Each team must take at least 4 mods.
- At least 1 player must take HR or HDHR.
- A single player may not take more than 2 mods.
- No Fail (NF) does not count as a mod.
- Allowed mods: EZ, HD, HR, FL.

- Violations of rules from our Discord server will impact your standing in the tournament. The rules on this document extend to cover our Discord server which is viewed as an official communications platform, as is osu!Bancho, and will be treated as such.
- Players and staff are expected to uphold the osu! community rules at all times.
- Administration reserves the right to punish - as they see fit on a case-by-case basis - toxicity, obscene language, slurs, and other derogatory language or behavior displayed in any match chat, community, or social media platform, including but not limited to osu!, Twitch, Discord, X (formerly Twitter), and private messages therein. This rule is intentionally vague. Basically, administration reserves the right to moderate the community however they wish.
- Multi-accounting, cheating, and other foul play is not allowed.
- Should a player be restricted for foul play while the tournament is ongoing, administration reserves the right to disqualify teams entirely and replay the bracket history in a fashion appropriate based on the stage of the tournament.
- Custom skin elements must not be used such that they alter core gameplay elements or mechanics in unintended ways.
- If a map is to be replayed for any reason (aborted by referee, etc.) the roster must remain the same. If the match was aborted due to a player experiencing a technical or personal issue so severe that they are unable to play osu!, the team may swap that player out for another player on the roster.
- If a player disconnects from the match, their score will count as zero (0) unless adequate proof of a “last known score” is provided. Some examples are:
- Screenshot of the score results screen using the osu! web screenshot tool (Shift+F12)
- Livestream, VOD, or other recording of the score (this includes 5WC streams)
- A replay file
- Players are expected to keep the match running smoothly without delay. Harassment of staff members, toxicity towards other teams, and/or other language in chat or smoke that violates the community rules will result in immediate disqualification, pertinent to the judgment of administration.
- Instructions from referees and administration must be followed.
- Referees may be lenient or strict with the timers at their discretion, pertinent to the rules laid out in Match Procedures - Timers & Timeouts.
- Administration reserves the right to alter these rules at any point. Any changes are guaranteed to be announced through an official channel at the time of change.
- Administration may request a liveplay or recordings of individual players or teams at any moment without warning.
- All staff, with the exception of commentators and streamers, are barred from participation.
