Ayoo Mod from Queue

d = Don
k = Kat
D = Big Don
K = Big Kat
">" = Change to

Italic mods may contradict with your mapping style, so change them if you truly want to have that change

[Oni]

00:25:865 (126) - k > d | I'm a bit worried about this note, it contradicts the kat pattern you have here since it starts 1/2 earlier than expected and it feels overemphasized since you are mapping outside of the original kat rhythm
00:38:379 (196) - k > d | I feel that there's too many kats here compared to the sections similar to this, it feels a bit unbalanced

01:02:722 (310,311,312) - Add finishes | According to your pattern, it feels that you missed out these as finishes
01:13:694 (375,376,377) - ^

[Muzu]

00:13:008 (35) - k > K | It feels that the music strongly emphasizes this note also, change this if you want.
01:02:722 (216,217) - Add finishes | Same as Oni, it feels underemphasized according to the pattern
01:13:693 (259,260,261,262) - ^

[Futsuu]

00:56:893 (105,106) - k,D > K,d | Since you are only using a finish on one vocal at this point, I suggest to have the finish on "Jump" vocal since it feels stronger than the "Yeah" vocal here

[Kantan]

00:25:693 (31) - The kat here seems to be not emphasizing anything major, I suggest to move it left (<) by 1/2 so that it emphasizes the vocal
Same goes for these similar notes 00:28:436 (34) - ,00:31:179 (37) - .. etc.

00:56:893 (69,70) - k,D > K,d | Same reason as Futsuu
Just a small suggestion : 01:20:893 - You might want to map this note in the music by moving some notes and adding notes since it feels very significant in the music and you might not want to miss this note out

No Other problems, very smooth kat rhythm for all charts, very good use of finishes

00:38:379 (196) - k > d | I feel that there's too many kats here compared to the sections similar to this, it feels a bit unbalanced >> Result of accounting for the vocals a little bit; I'll keep this as is for now.

01:02:722 (310,311,312) - Add finishes | According to your pattern, it feels that you missed out these as finishes
01:13:694 (375,376,377) - ^ >> Similiar issue as your suggestion for 00:13:008 of the Muzu; I don't really want to use too many finishes ><; Although I tried to make as much sense as possible doing so, I'll wait to hear more feedback about this.

[Muzu]

00:13:008 (35) - k > K | It feels that the music strongly emphasizes this note also, change this if you want. >> Since there's already a finish 2/1 later in the song, I'd rather not have another one right before; also I'd like to stay consistent with emphasizing the high synth notes with K. If others feel that the "jump!" should be emphasized more though, I'll consider this. Sorry! ;-;
01:02:722 (216,217) - Add finishes | Same as Oni, it feels underemphasized according to the pattern
01:13:693 (259,260,261,262) - ^ >> Refer to Oni

[Futsuu]

I'll consider the change if others also bring it up.

[Kantan]

00:25:693 (31) - The kat here seems to be not emphasizing anything major, I suggest to move it left (<) by 1/2 so that it emphasizes the vocal

00:56:893 (69,70) - k,D > K,d | Same reason as Futsuu >> Refer to Futsuu
Just a small suggestion : 01:20:893 - You might want to map this note in the music by moving some notes and adding notes since it feels very significant in the music and you might not want to miss this note out >> Will consider this. I'm a bit reluctant as there's already little difference in difficulty between Kantan and Futsuu, and I'll also have to add notes for spots like 00:13:693 and 00:19:179 if I take up on this suggestion.

No Other problems, very smooth kat rhythm for all charts, very good use of finishes >> Thank you :P
Thanks for modding; sorry I didn't change so much! ><;

I am not sorry I am sorry for being late.

[Design]
:idea: I would choose to move down the background to show three faces. (Change in .osu manually to about -75)

[Notechart]
:idea: Perceived rating: 3★ Kantan / 5★ Futsuu / 5★ Muzukashii / 8★ Oni
:idea: <Muzukashii> is unpickable.
:idea: 00:01:008~ - Suggests lean katsu-based opening. Refer to D's Adventure Note etc.
:idea: <Kantan> <Futsuu> 00:11:979 / 01:19:179 and similar - 3-beat drumroll
:idea: <Kantan> Chorus / 00:57:236~ - Suggesting a more intuitive o_o_ooo_ instead of the current o_o_o_oo basic patterns
:idea: <Kantan> <Futsuu> 01:26:036 (1,1) - Bait-switch note after denden is very uncommon in general Anime Kantan/Futsuu
:!: <Oni> Blatantly overmapped at places. e.g. 01:25:351 (447,448,449,450,451,452,453) is completely made up.
Here is an similarly-feeling Anime song's authentic Oni for reference about what's more suitable.

>> I tried to keep the 1/4 patterns as consistent and straightforward as possible, while still keeping a fair difficulty difference between this and the Muzukashii. The denser sections such as 01:07:522 and 01:19:865 have corresponding drum rhythms; 01:25:351 was for the buildup leading to the very end of the song. I'll consider toning down the patterns if others also feel that the diff is overmapped, but given that the patterns aren't very complex and the Muzukashii already contains various 1/2 patterns and spacings, I'd rather not make the Oni too much simpler.

sorry for late ;___;

[ Kantan]
  1. 00:35:293 ~ 00:45:236 - i don't recommend the current patterns. you should make more simpler pattern in the same way as 00:24:322 ~ 00:33:922
    the bpm of this song is 175. that bpm is not slow. and current patterns have a complex rhythm for Kantan. these are really scary ;_;
  2. 01:02:722 (80) - change to d? for the sake of uniformity. if you want a change of pattern, 01:05:122 (84) - change to k?
  3. 01:13:693 (99) - same as above.

[ Futsuu]
  1. 00:33:236 (61) - => 00:33:065 - maybe move here? for fit the vocal sound.
  2. 00:44:208 (80) - => 00:44:036 - same reason as above.
  3. 01:05:122 (124) - => 01:06:493 - move here? plays/sounds better imo.
  4. 01:16:093 (148) - => 01:17:465 - same reason as above.
  5. 01:25:693 - how about add a k here? can be fit the snare drum.

  6. very nice Futsuu :3c

[ Muzukashii]
  1. 00:14:208 (39) - => 00:14:551 - move here? because 00:14:551 - this point has a relatively strong sound than 00:14:208 well, up to you.
  2. 00:17:465 (52,53) - move to left side on 1/2. i mean 00:16:951 - dkdd here. it also up to you. to be able to emphasize this 00:17:636 when you create a blank here 00:17:636 .
  3. 00:22:779 - add a d here if you accepted above suggestion.
  4. 00:23:979 (79) - finisher? indeed, this point has a bit weak sound than 00:22:951 (75,77) - but, current pattern is not follow the flow well.
  5. 00:45:065 (162) - change to k in the same way as 00:34:093 (118) - you will be able to emphasize these floor tom sound 00:45:408 (164,165,166) -
  6. 01:19:179 (282) - no finisher. instead, 01:20:208 (285) - finisher here.

[ Oni]
  1. i feel the kinda high diff spread between Muzukashii and Oni.

  2. 00:13:265 (51) - del. important sound doesnt exist here.
    00:20:465 (92) - same as above.
    01:22:179 (421) - same as above.
  3. 00:16:693 (68) - 00:17:379 (72) - del. i think that its a bit excessive pattern.
    00:21:836 (98) - 00:22:522 (102) - same as above.
    01:23:893 (429) - same as above.
  4. 00:35:465 (171) - del? maybe,unnecessary sound?
  5. 00:38:636 (191) - del? a bit excessive sound to me.
  6. 00:45:922 (229) - change to d. snare drum sound doesnt exist.
  7. 01:19:179 (402) - no finisher. there is no important strong sound.
overall, quite nice stuff. at a later date, please call me for recheck. (*゚▽゚*)

  4. 00:23:979 (79) - finisher? indeed, this point has a bit weak sound than 00:22:951 (75,77) - but, current pattern is not follow the flow well. >> 個人的にはどうしても00:22:951 (75,77)と00:23:979 (79)の差が大きく感じてくるのでfinisherはどうかなぁと思います… 代わりに00:24:151にdを追加しました。これでベースもドラムももっとフォロー出来てflowも良くなると思いますけどどうでしょうか。 :lol:
  5. 00:45:065 (162) - change to k in the same way as 00:34:093 (118) - you will be able to emphasize these floor tom sound 00:45:408 (164,165,166) - >> そうですね!kにしました。
  6. 01:19:179 (282) - no finisher. instead, 01:20:208 (285) - finisher here. >>トランペットの音は下がるみたいですが、やはりコーラスの最後ですし、vocalも重ねて出るので強調したいですね。そして他の難易度にもDにしておいたのでここはキープします。すみません :(

[ Oni]
  1. i feel the kinda high diff spread between Muzukashii and Oni. >> TKさんの提案など考慮したおかげでOniのレベルをちょっと下げることが出来た気がします。 :lol:

  2. 00:13:265 (51) - del. important sound doesnt exist here.
>> 似た部分は全部消しました!そして01:24:493との統一性のため00:22:779はkからdに変えました。
  4. 00:35:465 (171) - del? maybe,unnecessary sound? >>そうしました。
  5. 00:38:636 (191) - del? a bit excessive sound to me. >> ここは削除して、周りも全体的にシンプルな感じに変更しました。長めのトランペット音を考えて00:27:065辺りとは少し異なるパターンにしておきましたがどうでしょうか。
  6. 00:45:922 (229) - change to d. snare drum sound doesnt exist. >> Muzuではdにしたのに結構ミスったんですね :lol: 修正しました!
  7. 01:19:179 (402) - no finisher. there is no important strong sound. >> Muzuと同じです。すみません!
overall, quite nice stuff. at a later date, please call me for recheck. (*゚▽゚*)
Thanks for the mod!
modありがとうございます! :)

on the Oni.
01:07:951 (338,339) - maybe delete these notes in the same way as 00:56:893 (274) -
i think that deleted in accordance with the "yay" is good.
indeed, this point has a drum roll sound. but if anything, i need a sense of unity.

Also deleted the d at 01:07:436 for a bit more emphasis for the "yay".
変更して01:07:436のdも削除しました!

Talked to the mapper in-game, and fixed a bit minor patterns as well as adding a green line adjusting the volume

No big changes have been made and so I believe a direct rank is fine :3

Chatlog is included below as a referecnce ~
Chatlog with kjwkjw, Apr 19
21:12 aabc271: :3
21:13 kjwkjw: oh hi there
21:13 aabc271: Hihi ~
21:13 aabc271: Sorry for late, but is it fine for me to have a final check on this ?
21:13 *aabc271 is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/372714 Rhodanthe* - Jumping!! (TV Size) [Futsuu]]
21:13 aabc271: Modding owob
21:13 kjwkjw: sure, I'd appreciate that ^w^
21:13 aabc271: ^w^
21:14 aabc271: Overall the diffs are all well-mapped and I'm confident it can be ranked
21:14 aabc271: Now I'm writing some simple suggestions on the post, or maybe should I mention here ?
21:15 kjwkjw: on here is fine haha
21:15 aabc271: ok then
21:15 aabc271: So maybe I'll quote this chatlog as reference for others
21:16 kjwkjw: alright, that works for me
21:16 aabc271: Let me copy what I wrote in the post lol
21:16 aabc271: (For all diffs) Maybe add a ~70% green line at 00:24:493 ? ( Since it's slightly softer than the 00:11:808 section )
21:17 kjwkjw: alright, should I add an 85% back at 00:35:293 though?
21:17 aabc271: Actually these 2 sections are quite similar, so I think keeping that 70% should be better ?
21:17 aabc271: Since you also get an even softer section at 00:46:265 -
21:17 kjwkjw: ah, right
21:18 kjwkjw: oh, and 00:24:493 instead of 00:24:322?
21:18 aabc271: 00:24:322 - is fine
21:18 aabc271: I just saw you did volume change at 00:11:796 - which is the red line
21:19 aabc271: So I wonder if you wanna do that 1/2 earlier / later
21:19 kjwkjw: oh, that was just to make the "3, 2, 1, jump!" thing louder haha
21:20 kjwkjw: I think it'd be fine adding the 70% green line at 00:24:322 because that note itself is a bit softer than the previous section
21:20 aabc271: I'm fine with that. Go ahead :3
21:20 aabc271: Just remember to do this for all 4 diffs
21:21 kjwkjw: alright
21:22 kjwkjw: actually, I moved the line at 00:11:796 to be 1/2 later
21:22 kjwkjw: for all the diffs
21:22 aabc271: Alright then
21:22 kjwkjw: just for the sake of consistency
21:22 aabc271: Other lines seem fine to me
21:23 aabc271: So let's go to diff-specific things ?
21:23 kjwkjw: sure!
21:23 aabc271: (Oni) 01:19:179 (399~408) - Consider http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1526920 ?
21:24 aabc271: Minor hitsound change, just depends whether you want k for the vocal
21:24 aabc271: Which probably emphasizes them a bit more
21:26 kjwkjw: that sounds good, fixed
21:26 aabc271: ok :3
21:27 aabc271: I like how consistent the diffs are
21:27 aabc271: Simple style yet fit nicely to the music. Nice job owob
21:27 kjwkjw: thank you :3
21:27 aabc271: That D K D K -> K D K D
21:27 aabc271: :D
21:28 kjwkjw: haha a lot of people seemed to like that and I'm glad xD
21:28 aabc271: Yes, that's an example of well-used opposite patterns
21:29 aabc271: Sometimes they're nice for making good impression to players
21:30 aabc271: Since the diffs are actually quite consistent, I think I can keep the hitsound suggestions to a minimum
21:30 aabc271: Checked oni and muzu, and they seem nice to me
21:30 kjwkjw: alrighty, that's fine
21:30 aabc271: Now having a quick look at futsuu
21:30 kjwkjw: :DD
21:30 aabc271: :D
21:31 aabc271: Spread between futsuu and muzu might be bigger than others, but I think I can accept this
21:32 aabc271: Next time you might want a slightly harder futsuu ?
21:32 aabc271: You know, 167 -> 309
21:32 aabc271: Some people might complain about this increase
21:33 kjwkjw: yeah, that seemed like a pretty big gap to me as well but I wasn't sure as to how I could make the Futsuu harder and stay consistent
21:33 kjwkjw: I'll keep that in mind for the future though
21:33 kjwkjw: the Muzu was fine in terms of difficulty?
21:33 aabc271: Acutally diff spread is quite a complicated thing
21:34 aabc271: The 4 diffs are all in normal range
21:34 aabc271: But maybe because of authentic taiko's influence, futsuu <-> muzu seem to have bigger spread in normal cases
21:34 kjwkjw: ah, that makes sense
21:35 aabc271: And that's why I think this is acceptable, but next time you should try to balance them better if possible
21:35 aabc271: Sometimes you can even consider having a 5-level set
21:35 aabc271: + Inner oni
21:35 aabc271: Which I often do to my own mapsets
21:35 aabc271: And that helps on diff spread, esp when oni is hard
21:36 kjwkjw: ahh, alright!
21:36 aabc271: But for now, let's move on and just try to take more notice on the diff spread next time :3
21:37 kjwkjw: okay :3
21:39 aabc271: Futsuu's patterns are still consistent, and hitsounds seem to be reasonable too
21:39 aabc271: So let me have a look at kantan... :D
21:39 aabc271: I guess futsuu's more complex beats compensate its small maximum combo
21:40 kjwkjw: that's kinda what I was going for haha
21:40 aabc271: I can feel that xD
21:40 kjwkjw: and I tried to keep the red tick notes to a minimum on the Kantan unless I felt the notes really needed to be emphasized
21:41 aabc271: Yes, it's often better to keep everything simple in kantan w
21:42 aabc271: Ah yes, 00:11:979 - Not sure if finish is a good idea for kantan / futsuu. What do you think :3
21:44 kjwkjw: I don't think I had them on the other diffs, and since I have a few finishes when the song picks up, I think it'd be okay without a finish there
21:44 aabc271: Alright then, moving on
21:47 aabc271: Ah yes, but maybe you want that because of consistency with 01:19:179 - ?
21:47 aabc271: I mean, in kantan
21:48 kjwkjw: hmmm
21:49 kjwkjw: I think it's slightly different for 01:19:979 since you also have the trumpet going on in the chorus
21:50 aabc271: Never mind then. If you think no finish is better, then just keep this :3
21:51 aabc271: Other things seem fine to me :D
21:51 aabc271: Maybe update now ? w
21:51 kjwkjw: alright, did an update!
21:52 kjwkjw: please let me know if I missed anything haha
21:52 aabc271: Let me see ~~
21:59 aabc271: Seems fine now
21:59 aabc271: Let's 3 2 1 jump ? :D
22:00 kjwkjw: \:D/
22:00 aabc271: \:D/
22:00 aabc271: Let me include this into my post. Wait w

All 4 diffs are well-mapped with consistent patterns and hitsounds. Nice job :)

Ranked ~

Edit : I'm waiting the quota of 8 ranks per day to go away, after that I'll rank this. For now I'm changing the icon to bubble
Edit 2 : Done. Ranked :3
